Searching - CARTER'S PASTEL BEARS White BABY BLANKET

My daughter has a very old Carter's blanket that she has had since she was a baby. The blanket originally had blue, pale green and pink bears on a white background. It was cotton with no border.

After many years of love it is gray and has been tied together, so that it now resembles a rope instead of a blanket. She actually had a replacement that was lost at a hotel in Pennsylvania while she was spending the weekend with her dad. I have searched in every 2nd hand store for miles every time I go in and at garage sales.

If you know of anyone that has one, I would love to purchase it for her. She is 9 yrs old now, but still sleeps with her blanket every night.

I am looking for a green frog that I purchased in 2004 at Babies R Us. It was a Carter's toy, and it was a medium to large sized plush animal. This one did not have any music box or anything inside of it.

My son just turned 4, and it has been missing for a few months. His was the biggest of all and it was probably 15 inches tall or so. He would use his body as a pillow.

Searching - CHOSUN YELLOW Lying Down DUCK

Our son carried “Duckie” everywhere he went from the age of 1 or 2 to 6, when Duckie was lost at a ranch of a friend’s while he was visiting there over the weekend. We have not told him, but apparently, the ranch dogs got to Duckie and tore him apart. We have told him that we are looking for a replacement, but that his original Duckie is gone for good. He is okay with that, but misses him horribly.

When I say that Duckie went everywhere, I mean it. When Jeb had ski lessons, Duckie stayed in his instructor’s parka. When we went to restaurants, Duckie came along. We went all over Europe with Duckie and he left him in a London hotel room. We had Duckie Fed Exed back to the U.S., immediately calling the hotel when we noticed his loss. To this day, Jeb occasionally cries himself to sleep about his missing Duckie. We have no intentions of lying to him and telling him that Duckie came back if we find one.

I purchased Duckie probably in the Spring of 2001 or 2002 at Target. It is manufactured by Chosun International. Duckie is bright yellow, very soft with orange chenille bill, tail and two feet. He lays on his tummy. The Easter Bunny put the yellow one in my son’s basket, and an identical pink one (that happens to be listed on your website as a missing toy) in our daughter’s basket. My son is currently sleeping with the pink one and I have promised him that I will have it dyed yellow if we cannot find another similar Duckie.

Searching - TARGET White DOG BLUE HALF FACE

Blue Puppy, a beloved member of our family, was lost while running errands. We have retraced our footsteps, called every store we visited, turned the house and car upside down, and we have not found him. He is an integral part of the family. My son has fallen asleep with him tucked under his arm since he was 18 months old.

I bought Blue Puppy from Target, sometime in the late spring/early summer of 2006. I looked for a duplicate a few months later, just to have an extra on hand since my son loved him so much. I called Target customer service when I couldn't find one in the store, and I was told that that particular puppy was no longer being produced.

Now we need one, and I still can't find one anywhere. I've looked on eBay and found one old auction, I've posted a want ad on Craigslist, asked around, and nobody has a Blue Puppy.

Please please help! I am in desperate need of a replacement! My son has been in tears. I desperately want to find a new Blue Puppy for him to love.

Searching - BROWN and WHITE Beanie Type TERRY DOG

I am desperately seeking a small terry cloth brown and white dog. It is about 6 inches tall, and is full of "beanie baby" like filling. It has a little blue bow on its neck. He was made by a "no name" manufacturer and purchased at TJ Maxx in Cedar Rapids in March of 2003.

My 5 year old daughter lost Rufus about 1 1/2 years ago. He was given to her the day she was born, and we really need to find him. It would make my daughter so happy if "Rufus" were to come back. We were so protective and careful of this one toy, it's been horrible for her to not be able to find him. We never thought that almost 2 years later, she still cries for him.

Searching - CACH CACH SIMPLY BABY LAMB Cream BLANKIE

Liza has outdone herself today. She wrote to the Cach Cach company and received enough information to be of real help finding this blankie. It is not a bear, but a LAMB, and was sold in 2003.

I am searching for a Cach Cach lovie. It is a creme color, has a satin backing, and a teddy bear LAMB's head.

My sister's daughter Emma received this lovey at birth and became attached to it early on. She named it Alice and took it everywhere. My sister joked about how it was her second child.

Her mother in law was in town visiting and took Emma to the local farmer's market. At some point Emma lost Alice. She has since stopped taking her naps and wakes frequently in the middle of the night crying for her. The family is searching frantically for a replacement.

Searching - 2005 OSHKOSH Brown RABBIT

Hi, my little girl has lost her bunny that she has had for 2 1/2 years, and she is now 3 years old. She has been crying ever since.

My husband and I were visiting Atlanta USA winter 2005 when we bought the bunny. I was 6 months pregnant with our daughter. Before she was one year old she took it every where with her and never went to sleep without the bunny that we call Kalli.

We are from Iceland and there is no Oshkosh B'Gosh store, so we could not buy a second one. The bunny has traveled with her all over, and now we are visiting Sweden.

I usually leave the bunny where we are staying, but a few days ago I allowed her to take Kalli with us to another town called Lund. And then she lost him.

I have contacted every taxi station more then once, putting up ads, contacted local news paper, contacted Oshkosh and more.

My 3 years old daughter Isabella is heart broken and misses him very much and so am I. I feel like that we lost one of the family.

I hope you can help us. I did look at the photos where people are still looking for their baby toys, but I'm sorry we don't have any of those.

Searching - RUSS? HOT PINK ELEPHANT 12" Square BLANKIE

I am looking for a plush hot pink elephant security blanket. It is the head of an elephant in the middle of a 12" satin/chenille square. It has an opening on the underside so you can hold the head on your finger and rattle it for the child. I have been looking for a while on the web, and I think it is made by the Russ Berrie Company, but I am not sure.

This is a picture of my 9 month old with it. We were in Chicago for a vacation and went by foot or bus everywhere. In the Museum of Science and Industry we lost the Elephant and her nuk.

I was very upset and wondered how I was going to get her to sleep that night. Turns out that lost and found had the nuk...but still has no trace of the elephant.

I have been searching extensively on the web with no avail. I would love some help with this and so would my baby.

Searching - MANHATTAN Gray WANDA ELEPHANT

I have received THREE requests for help finding this WANDA Elephant just recently, so it's time to ask for help on this one again.

There are several places online that have her in their catalog, but we have not been able to find anyone who actually has one in stock.

We live in an area where Manhattan toys are not for sale in stores, so we have no way of finding one for them from yard sales or thrift stores. Hopefully someone will have better luck than we are having.

So if you have a Wanda stuck back in the bottom of the toy box that your child does not care about, or can check out the local sales and thrift stores, please help these families.

I have been searching online for days trying to find the WANDA elephant from Manhattan Toy. My son has had one for 2 years and even with a reserve of two extras, we have lost the last one this past week.

I see another posting of the same elephant, which is incredible, and am hoping you can find just one more, any size will do. I am desperate.

Jared, my son who will turn 4 in September, cannot live without his small "Ellie". A friend of ours (who knew nothing about babies!) came to visit Jared when he was born and brought the elephant as a gift.

As soon as Jared was old enough to have a stuffed animal in his crib with him, Ellie has been there. Jared and Ellie are best friends- Jared cannot sleep without her. We only have ONE Ellie which means that she is filthy, worn and very loved. We don't let her leave the house unless we are going on an overnight or vacation. When never put her in checked luggage, she's always in my handbag.

Jared understands that Ellie is a one-of-a-kind. But we fear the day that something will happen to Ellie. She's as old as Jared is... almost 4, and her seams are starting to open up a bit.

We are hoping that somewhere we can find a few new small Wanda elephants so that heaven forbid anything happens to Jared's Ellie, we will be able 'replace' her.

FOUND a Substitute - 80's White MOTHER and BABY LAMB Crib Pull Toy MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB

Joanne was able to find a different mother and baby lamb toy that plays the same song, and her daughter seems happy with it.

I'm looking for a crib toy, originally purchased about 10 years ago. It's a stuffed mother ewe and her lamb (both white), connected by a string. The body wasn't really floppy. It was more of a traditional sheep shape (four small legs facing downward).

When you pull them apart, it plays "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and they slowly draw together again. I've trolled the Internet but no luck. I don't remember the brand. :(

Our first child was given the toy as a gift upon his birth. When I had a second child, I passed it down to her. When she grew, I "cleaned house" one day and gave away a lot of stuffed animals to charity. I should have kept that one, even though it was a crib toy. She's been pining away for it and is upset with me for giving it away, so I told her I would search everywhere to see if I can find another.

Searching - Baby GAP BLANKET White Side COW - FARM ANIMALS PRINT & Plain BLUE Side

My 3-year-old son lost his beloved "Blue Cow" blanket almost a year ago. He cried inconsolably for several weeks until I told him that Blue Cow was on vacation. Then he cried only on occasion.

I thought it was the right thing to do at the time, hoping that he would forget about it. Of course, he didn't. He still asks about it, asks to go on vacation so he could find his blanket and ask, "Where were you?" It's really heartbreaking.

The blanket was purchased at Baby Gap in the summer of 2004, months before my boy was born. It is solid light blue on one side and white with a light blue farm animal print (cows, sheep, barn, dog chickens) on the other. If I had to guess, I would say it was approximately 28 inches by 34 inches.

I've searched eBay, posted multiple want ads in multiple states on Craiglist, contacted mothers groups in the Bay Area, and called many Baby Gap outlet stores. I've even contacted the company's managerial officers. Nothing.

I stumbled across your website, while trying to find a replacement kitty for my daughter. Her cat was sold by Longs in Dec. of 2003. It's an orange & white striped cat, approx 6-7" long, with blue eyes. I don't know the manufacture, but it wasn't an expensive cat.

She's had this cat since she was 3, and she's devastated. We even put up missing signs in the park.

One of our very dedicated searchers, Liza FOUND the BRAND! I can almost make out the name on the tush tag . It appears to end with Pals or Pets and maybe ...gle at the beginning? Maybe that will be enough for someone to recognize the brand.

What It FEELS LIKE to SEARCH for a Lost Lovie & to HELP SOMEONE ELSE FIND THEIRS

I was teasing Liza about being such a busy lady while I was thanking her for spending so much time searching for other people's lost lovies, and this was her response:

I have been busy! It really has gotten to me - I mean, it's not only affected my daughter, but I'm just as saddened at losing her Poppy.

I can really feel for both parents and kids whose lives - although others can't see why - really DO get turned upside down when kids lose their loveys. It becomes days and then weeks of this all-consuming desire to both comfort your child, while at the same time beginning the daunting undertaking of finding a replacement.

Helping that man find a replacement for his daughter's bear yesterday made me feel so good. At least I helped one little girl - even if it wasn't my own. I figured, today, since I had a really light day here at work and some free time, I could at least take one day and devote it to looking for lost loveys. Some parents may not have the luxury of free hours to devote to searching.

Hopefully, I was able to help someone else. I hope I did. Again, it makes me feel a little better knowing that losing Poppy, as cheesy as it sounds, wasn't in vain since I ended up helping someone else.

Now back to searching for Poppy!!!!!!!

Searching - 90's IKEA White GOOSE (No Clothes)

Hi! I am looking for a plush duck (or some may say he's a goose) bought from IKEA. He is white with a long neck, an orange pointed beak, and dangly orange feet. He's reasonably big, maybe 10" to 12" tall.

He didn't come with the shorts; that's an addition made by my hubby (the precocious-looking child in the photo).

He was originally bought overseas 18-20 years ago at an IKEA in Saudi Arabia(IKEA is a chain store that sells Swedish home furnishings. It is also a brand because the toys they sell are manufactured by them, too.) I think the time is around there...he was my husband's favorite childhood toy.

I know this is a ridiculously impossible thing to find, and I greatly appreciate your time. I completely understand if you don't want to take this one on. But if you do, please know that my husband and I will be infinitely grateful. =)

Hi! I was searching for the same goose my sister bought for my daughter in Sweden 9 years ago.

She bought her 2 at IKEA over there, and they have been refurbished with new fur, but I wanted one to have on her shelf. My sister said before she moved back to the states in 2002 they stopped making the white goose. They had a black one for a short time - then no more. You might try contacting IKEA directly. Maybe they have one in a warehouse somewhere. Good luck! I can't find one as cute and plush as that one.

Sammy is 5 years old and has a twin brother Michael. When they were born, they were each given a gift of this Baby Ganz Blue Lion with a colorful mane and tan paws and nose.

It became their special "coochie bear" first, then as they grew older they called it their "baby". They became inseparable until the day that Sammy's disappeared. He was devastated!

The entire house, car and anywhere else we could think of was torn apart and upside down. Still no baby and Sammy is heartbroken. We need another baby for Sammy. Can anyone out there help us out? We have contacted both Baby Ganz and Baby Gund and search eBay daily. We obviously need more help. We pray someone out there can help us find baby for Sammy.

She is looking for the 1985 WHITE BUNNY like this bear.

I'm looking for my 1985 Precious Moments by Applause plush white bunny. It had pink silk detailing (in the inside of ears and bottom of feet) and had tear drop shaped eyes.

I don't have any photos, sadly. I've been able to find his bear companion from the same year, "Cubby", on eBay, but no bunny. If I'm correct, this was the first year that Applause partnered with Precious Moments to make plush animals. The bunny and the bear came with a pink Precious Moments heart necklace that opened and each had a saying.

I lost it when I was a little girl and would love to be reunited. Any ideas?

Searching - DOLL with Removable PINK and YELLOW PJ's MATCHING HAT

I am looking for a replacement lovey for my daughter, and I have no idea what brand it is. Would you be able to help me?

It it all cloth, with removable pjs that are pink on one side and yellow on the other. The collar, the ends of the sleeves, the tops of the toes and a strip down the center of the body is purple. There is a yellow bow just above her tummy. She has a hat that is pink and yellow and a small tuft of yellow yarn hair.

My daughter received her in 2000 or 2001.

I have been searching eBay for about two years looking for her. Do you know anything else about her? What brand is she? Where else could I look? My daughter (who is now 8) prays every night that she might find her lovey. Your help could help to make this happen!

Searching - Manhattan LONG LEG Floppy Dark GRAY ELEPHANT Not Wanda

I received an email from Ada, who is sure it is a Manhattan elephant, thanks to a readable tush tag. She writes:

Hi there! I was looking for the exact elephant for my 9 month old boy, and I saw your post!! I went through the Manhattan Toy website, but I don't think they carry it anymore.

If you know where I could find this elephant, please please please let me know.

And here's Suzy's request for help:

Our daughter lost her stuffed elephant in a Paris taxi, and there is no way to locate it. It was purchased for her by a friend, we believe at the Anthropologie store in Philadelphia in 2002, and we think, but are not certain, that it was made by Manhattan Toy.

It is a very, very floppy, dark grey elephant with slightly lighter grey fur on his belly and the inside of his ears, with long, stringy legs and arms (the arms and legs about 10 inches long) and rounded feet. This is not a "Wanda" style elephant. Wanda is not the right color and is too plush.

The fur on the elephant we're looking for is not really plush -- it's more nubby -- like the Jellycat "Junglie" style toys, only none of the Jellycat styles on the market look like the elephant we are missing, because their limbs are too fat and the Jellycat elephants are either blue-ish or light grey, not dark grey.

If I could just figure out who manufactured this elephant, I'd call the manufacturer and plead for another at any price.

Searching - Wal-Mart PURPLE KNEELING BUNNY Holding Flower

I am looking for a stuffed rabbit approximately 7" tall, holding a felt flower, and it appears to be on its knees. It is purple and white and was purchased at Wal-Mart about three years ago at Easter.

My daughter lost her "Rabba" when we went on vacation in Florida last year. She has missed her terribly. She won't even discuss her beloved missing Rabba. I looked for HOURS AND HOURS on end on e-bay before Christmas, because all she wanted from Santa was the safe return of Rabba. Needless to say, Santa was unable to deliver, but he sent a nice letter about her.

I do not have a picture of the actual missing stuffed bunny, but I do, however, have a picture of one almost exactly like hers except that it is pink (I edited the photo in an attempt to make it look lavender) that I purchased on e-bay. I gave her this bunny, and she likes it, but it still isn't her Rabba.

I have read so much about all of your happy endings! Hopefully, we can add to that. Hopefully, we can make my daughter happy again. I feel sure that she would never let her out of her sight again!

FOUND A REPLACEMENT But Still Searching - Carter's Need Both BLUE and PINK PENGUIN with SHINY PINK Vinyl SHOES

Now we have someone who is looking for the BLUE version of this Carter's Penguin. Nicole writes:

I'm looking for a Carter's blue musical penguin for my 17 month old son Liam as a back-up for the now weathered one that he clings to now.

He takes that penguin everywhere with him and chews on it. I've tried replacement toys, and I even tried making a similar one, but the first thing Liam does is grab the penguin's feet, so he knows the difference right away.

My friend Trina was just as vigilant as I was, and somehow she managed to find a website that sells "diaper cakes". She saw Poppy sitting on one of the cakes. The cake was going for $175.

I wrote to the lady who makes the cakes, explained the situation and offered $75 for Poppy. The owner, Kristen, wrote back and kindly offered to take Poppy off the cake and sell it to me for what she paid for it - $7!!!! The kindness of others is a wonderful thing!!!

We've told Krista Poppy must've turned blue from swimming in the pool while she was away on vacation. We're still on the look out for a pink or blue one as a future back up though.

I'm hoping you can help me find a plush toy penguin that my 15 month old daughter, Krista, lost. "Poppy" was misplaced while we were out shopping.

I normally link Poppy right to the cart, but didn't this one time and now my daughter's absolutely heart-broken. I've revisited IKEA and Home Depot time and time again, when the stores open, to search for Poppy. No luck. I've stopped all the employees that I run across and asked them to keep an eye out. I've also searched eBay (66 pages worth) with no luck.

Luckily, I have the information from the tag, as I wrote it down and stored away just in case something like this should happen.

Searching - PUFFALUMP BIG THINGS Teal DINOSAUR Yellow Horns Red Feet Purple Hair

My best friend used to have this "creature" when he was younger, and it was his best friend. It was his safety blanket and his childhood toy( you know the kind you never want to give up.) When they moved from one house to another, the creature got lost. I have been looking for this creature for months now, ever since he has told me this story. He was heart broken when he found his old one all ruined.

So I went looking for a replacement. I know it won't be the same memories and such, but it will still be something to show off to all the people the remember him with the toy.

His Fisher Price Puffalump Monster Dinosaur is one of the Big Things series, No. 6861. It is teal, with the two yellow horns, red feet, and purple fluffy hair on the top.

Searching - 70's YELLOW COW Black Spots Windup OLD McDonald - Farmer in the Dell

Funny how God puts people together. He knows I've searched for years for this cow. My son, nor I, have a picture of him.

My son named him "COWPEE." He's a yellow cow with black spots from around 1978. He doesn't sit up but, rather, lies down. Plus the cow winds up and plays "Old McDonald" or "Farmer in the Dell", not sure which. His head moves when the music is on.

Please help us replace him. My son is having a baby soon and he wants one for his new baby.

It will be a miracle if we find one but, God can help with the desires of the heart.

Searching - DanDee BIG Loosely Filled FAT ORANGE STRIPED CAT

Hi. I stumbled across this site while trying to find a stuffed cat I had gotten for my daughter back in 2006 ( I think ). I had gotten it from Wal-Mart, and it was the last one they had. Now that the toy is her favorite and has had a few "surgeries", my husband and I have played with the idea of trying to recreate it on our own. I saw your site and decided to give it a shot.

The toy was created by DanDee. It's a fat cat with stripes like a tabby or tiger. The outside material is I believe 98% polyester and 2% spandex. Since the day I bought it for her I have yet to ever see another like it. If you know of a place where it might be found please let me know.

Searching - DAKIN Yellow Winged DUCK with ORANGE DANGLING FEET Used to QUACK

My son lost "duckie" on a flight and is just heartbroken because he lost his best friend. He cries daily and wants to go back in time so that duckie will be with him again or go to heaven so he can find duckie. He just turned 9, so this is not a passing fancy.

I got duckie as a shower gift in 1999. He is a small, Dakin duck -- maybe 4-6 inches tall, yellow with orange dangly legs and beak, no arms, just wings. It once had a tuft of white fluff on its head and quacked. It was not traditional plush fur, but more terry cloth or tightly cropped fur. It doesn't need to be in pristine condition, since duckie was well loved.

There are a million ducks in the world, but only the one in the million is going to put a smile on Dante's face.

Searching - FLOPPY YELLOW Wooly LAMB with BROWN Velour Feet

Hello, our three-year-old lost his floppy plush yellow lamb that his great grandmother (RIP) gave him when he was a baby.

This is his Lamby Lamb, zoomed in from a picture of his bedroom, and he is very sad. We have looked through thousands of our pictures and this was the only example where the lamb was anything beyond a yellow blur tucked under our son's arm. I have looked at more than a hundred floppy plush wooly lambs tonight and can't find one to match the one my son got in 2005.

The material is soft and wooly. It is about 10 inches long and does not stand up, it's very floppy. It *might* be a Carter's, although I haven't been able to find any Carter's lambs online that look like it. The feet were soft brown velour, and cylinder shaped. The ribbon was solid and silky, same color as the feet.

Searching - Eden? 90's? PASTEL COLORS ELEPHANT Yellow Tie Look on Tummy

This is a stuffed toy elephant I think was manufactured but discontinued by Eden. I'm not sure about the size, but it's at least 18+" It has a white face. The inner part of the ears are pink surrounded by yellow. Its arms are light blue, ending in pink.

Its body is fairly straight with the outer area being dark blue. The inner area is in the shape of a yellow neck tie. Bottoms of the feet are pink. It is a soft, fluffy but rather flat stuffed toy elephant. The one pictured is 13 years old.

Hi, I am glad to help anyone I can....I understand the heartache a parent goes through as they watch their child aching for something precious they have lost or is too worn out.

My two year daughter has lost her little lamb recently in our move, and it has never been found. It is pink, around 10" long, and from Carters. It has darker pink flowers on the front and a larger one on top of its head. It has a pink bow around its neck also. It is filled with those plastic pellets and the tag said style #36942.

Her Granny bought it at Sears and I know that it was also sold at Kohls, but has been discontinued as of the fall of 2006. I think it was licensed in 2005. I have checked with Sears, Kohls, and JCPenneys without luck and also eBay. I have also posted an ad on eBay's "I Want it Now" so hopefully someone will see it and contact me.

It was made by Carter's, and my mom bought it for my daughter when she was born in ,2002. It's a white bunny, with a rattle in its head, and it has a pink blanket for a body. It has white feet as well. On the right hand side (as you are looking at it) there is a circle patch with a teddy bear holding a blue blanket.

We have pictures of "pink b" with my daughter on the day she came home from the hospital, so it's been around a long time! Not sure where we lost it, but would have a very excited 6 year old if we could find another one.

FOUND - GUND Jiggles FROG

Thanks to one of our great readers, who found two Jiggles in her basement and contacted me. I sent Caren her email address, and the Jiggles have been sent. Yes, folks ... that's the way it's supposed to work!!! And here's the great ending to this story:

I received “Mr. Froggy” from Julie (along with an EXTRA!!) only days after my initial email contact with her. I am truly astounded by her generosity and thoughtfulness in sending this to us so quickly. And the fact that she paid for the shipping and didn’t charge me a penny is remarkable. I have no words.

We hid Mr. Froggy in my son’s room and he was absolutely delighted and amazed to find him. It has been a couple weeks now, and he still cannot believe he has Mr. Froggy back. My husband now tells him stories about “The Adventures of Mr. Froggy” about the things Mr. Froggy did while he was “lost.”

Searching - Original Version WINNIE the POOH Heartbeat BEAR

I am looking for the Winnie-The-Pooh Heartbeat Bear Stuffed Toy. It was sold probably about 8 years ago or so and it wasn't a crib toy. It was the Pooh Heartbeat Bear, but it didn't have two settings like the newer version has. That one is a different bear.

It was a stuffed Pooh bear with a red heart on the inside that when pressed sounded like a beating heart. It's not a beanie bear. It's not small, it's a regular size bear. It has a small red heart that goes in its chest that when pressed makes the sound of a heartbeat. It was available through Disney around 1998. It's no longer available through Disney.

I would appreciate any info about where I can find one of these to purchase.

FOUND - PEEK A BOO PANDA Magnetic Hands & Eyes

I am looking for a Panda Bear, about 7 inches high plush toy. It has a white head with 2 large black eyes, a red nose, and black smiley lips. (maybe made by Fisher Price ? )

The feet are red and green, the arms are purple, and there are black spots on his tummy.

Can you tell I had to do some creative editing to get the photo?

It has magnets in the paws and inside the eyes to play peek-a-boo. My grand-daughter lost hers about 2-3 years ago. It means a lot to us. Please help this Grandma.

I used a photo I found somewhere on the internet to give people some idea of what another searcher was looking for. Well, now I have received a request from a lady who wants the doll I used in the photo, and I have absolutely no idea where I downloaded the picture from!

Please help me find a large pink fuzzy doll with a plastic baby face.

The picture you have looks just like it was bought in 1963. I had it when I was a baby and my mother throw it away. It is pink and fuzzy in a bunting suit with plastic blond hair and a plastic face. I adored that thing.

I do believe it was called a cuggly wuggly cuddly wuddly cuggly wuddly or cuddly wuggly.

I am looking for the Kids II Jungle Cuddlies series of stuff animals from about 2002. There was a bear, lion, tiger, elephant and monkey.......I'm looking for the elephant and monkey to this set.

From what I remember, the monkey looks the same and says the same verse as the other 4. They say...."Let's go to the zoo, there's lots to see and do, elephants, lions and tigers and bears, even a monkey with a bananna to share..."

FOUND - PINK PUPPY Lost in Hospital HELP!!!!!!!

July 2, 2008 - I thought you might like to hear an update on Avey's condition. Amy writes:

She’s doing MUCH better – out of the hospital and just taking some more meds. I so appreciate you checking in on her!

I spotted Jay while searching for a different pink puppy. Hers is a Baby GUND My First Puppy, in case anyone else needs to search for this dog.

Jay goes everywhere with Avey. He’s been to the park, to the grocery store and, very recently, and to the Starlite office (where two real-life puppies almost gave Jay a trip directly to Puppy Heaven).

Anyway, when the nurses came to change the sheets on Avey’s hospital bed last night, they apparently rolled Jay up and took him off to The Place Dirty Hospital Sheets Go...

Avey has been told that Jay is taking a ride through the hospital to visit all the other sick little girls and boys...

FOUND - Carter's FLUFFY FRIENDS DUCK RATTLE Plastic Ring & Clip

Colette emailed us. Thank you so much for all your help in trying to locate a replacement for my sons lost toy. My sister in law has located a replacement of the exact same toy my son lost. She found it on eBay and my son should have it by tomorrow. Thanks again. I will keep watching your website to see if there is someone that I might be able to help. We're glad she was able to find it, and certainly appreciate all the extra pairs of eyes looking for all these lost lovies!

My 6 month old son has lost his favorite plush Carter's toy, and I am afraid that it has been discontinued. It was a stroller hang on a plush duckie that had a ring around the outside of it with to tiny colored rings around the big ring on each side of the duckie's feet.

In the middle was a clear ball that had beads in it that made a really neat rattling noise. You have a hippo on your Carter's toy pages that is the exact same concept as what I am trying to find. I would be interested in the ducky and maybe the hippo as a back up. My son has been cranky since he has lost it, and I think he really misses it. Please let me know if you can help. I have scoured the internet and called all the stores that carry Carter's toys and have had no luck, but have found hope with hitting upon your site.

Searching - Eden? 90's WHITE All THERMAL BUNNY Wearing YELLOW OVERALLS

When my sister was little she carried around her bunny with her everywhere, until she accidentally left him on a plane. Now she is about to graduate from High School, and I really want to give her a reunion with her lost love as a graduation gift!

I think it was made by EDEN. The whole bunny was a thermal fabric. It had a white head with pink in the ears and yellow overalls (also thermal and sewn as part of the bunny). My mom bought it in Cracker Barrel in the early 90's. I know there were other colors available too (all pastels).

Searching - GYMBOREE BLUE DOG Petit Chien

THE DOG DID NOT COME WITH THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

We are desperately searching for our lost blue puppy named Little Pup or "LP" for short. We bought her in February 2000, at a Gymboree store and have recently found that she is from the 1999 Gymboree line called "Petit Chien" (guess SHE is actually a HE).

We bought LP for our daughter-to-be (my husband had a special blue puppy when he was little), but the puppy soon became beloved by the whole family. LP has disappeared from time to time, but she has always shown up within a day or so.

In August of 2007 we lost her again, only this time she has not returned. So, we are turning to the Lost Toys Search Service for help locating a replacement -- we are certain her soul will transfer to her new body! Here is a photo of her dressed in her holiday finest...The Case family would be so so grateful for any help in locating our Petit Chien!

Searching - DUCK DUCK Childhood Lovie

I have this stuffed animal duck duck from around the 1980s. My beloved stuffed duck is named duck duck and she's my oldest treasure. However, early this week she was taken apart by my puppies and I'm looking for a clone of her to use to put her back together.

She originally had winglike arms. She had a pink and white checkered bow that matched her pink and white checkered jumper/skirt thing.

She's my childhood in a nut shell and she deserves to be in her original fabric and stuff. I simply need another one and I have no idea where she came from, who made her, or anything. Can you help me?

FOUND - Blankets and Beyond MINKY DOTS BLANKIE

I did find one on eBay, but the price was too high for them. So, I will leave this in Searching. Hopefully, somebody will see this who has one stuck back somewhere or find one at a yard sale.

And it worked out just that way!!

Here's Natalie's reply to my email trying to figure out what she still needed for her twins, after I connected her with Corrie, who wrote to tell me she had one her child was not attached to!

I knew it would be a little confusing, sorry. I had two styles - one for each girl. Charlotte originally lost her blanky (aqua minky dots), and you helped me locate two blankies on eBay. One was similar and the other was exactly the same as the one she lost selling for $39. This particular ebay store ALSO happened to be carrying the exact same blanky style that Amelia has (she never lost hers) also selling for $39. After contemplating spending $80 for two blankys, I bought the similar looking blanky for Charlotte @ another ebay store, for two reasons. #1 it was cheaper, #2 I saw a few listed on eBay so I knew if she took to it--I could easily buy a back-up.

Well, Charlotte hesitated at first-- now after about 3 weeks she loves her "new" but similar blankie (it has a little doggy head attached). Last night I bought back-up for Charlotte of the new/similar blankie with doggy head attached AND I contacted the woman from the email you forwarded to me yesterday.

After learning the hard way I started searching for a back-up blankie for Amelia. The only one I found was at the eBay store you emailed me originally that listed Charlotte's aqua minky dot style for $39. I contacted the woman and I was able to buy a back-up which is "the exact same style" as Amelia's blankie for $33 with s/h.

So the final score:
Amelia ---one original lovey blanky and an exact back-up for emergency case
Charlotte ---one new/similar blanky and one back-up on its way + the original blanky aqua minky dots I desperately searched for from the beginning, hopefully on its way from a KIND Mommy who read your post - who has one her daughter is not using.
Mommy ---penniless but happy she'll have some peace of mind with back-up blankies for sanity sake!

I'm desperately searching for my daughter's lost blankie. It was lost on 4-9-08 in Poughkeepsie Area in Dutchess, NY. I went back to the two stops we made, Target and HSBC bank, with no luck.

The blanket was made by a company called Blankets and Beyond in Montreal, CA. I purchased it from my local Wal-Mart in Sept. of 2007. It is a 14"x16" blankie with Minky Aqua Dot fabric and Disco Dot Satin fabric on the reverse. The minky side has a 2" satin border. I've searched eBay and Wal-mart with no luck. Unfortunately, I can't find the company who made it either. Please help us locate another, my daughter has had it since she was 6 months old and uses it for sleep, comfort and naps.

Her twin sister is now suffering too, because I now have to hide hers so they won't fight over it.

. I'm looking for a pink plush duck about 18 inches long, bought at Target in 2002. It has an orange beak and feet.

My grand daughter carried the duck for five years. She lost it at the airport beyond security. My daughter-in-law called me from the plane. Although I rushed over, security wouldn't let me in, and it was never returned to lost and found. It was much loved and did look bad.

I guess that I look like a terrorist, a sixtyish grandma who was a kindergarten teacher. I couldn't get in back to look.

Searching - Manhattan Toy SUE the DUCK Yellow BLANKIE Blue Satin Back

In 2005 my son received a satin/plush blankie/lovie as a gift. It looked like a duck, with light blue satin on one side and yellow plush on the other. It was made by Manhattan Toy, and he loved it for years.

In January, I left it in a cab in Manhattan. It hasn't turned up in lost and found. He asks for it all the time. If he sees a picture of New York City or a yellow taxi, he points to it and says "that's where my duck lovie is, can I have it?"

I need to find this for him. I've searched Manhattan Toys website and retailers and haven't found it. It would mean so much to me and my wife if we could replace it.

Searching - 80's Brown and White Furry Bunny Charlie? Fluffy BROWN and WHITE RABBIT

When my daughter was born in 1982, my mother bought her a stuffed rabbit. I'm thinking that most likely, she purchased it at a K-Mart store. It was probably about 14-16 inches long and the fur was fluffy. I think that the rabbit had a tag on it that said it's name was "Charlie".....because that is what we named it.

My daughter had her rabbit for close to 20 years. And slept with it almost that long. During a move a few years ago, she lost it. I have placed ads and I have searched, but have never found anything. My daughter is going through some difficult times right now with her health and she keeps saying, "if only I had Charlie to take care of me."

Searching - GUND? Squeaking YELLOW DUCK

I am desperately searching for a white rabbit with closed thread eyes and a pink belly button. This rabbit was purchased for our oldest daughter in 1990 for her first Easter. I purchased it at Caldors in Maryland.

Searching - Commonwealth BLUE PONY PINK HEART I LOVE YOU

I have been searching everywhere for a particular stuffed animal that my daughter lost almost 2 years ago. She still cries today wanting it.

Searching - Puffalump Type HOT PINK BEAR? ELEPHANT? BLUE NOSE & EARS

My daughter had a hot pink Puffalump type bear/elephant. I think it was a bear, but she swears it was an elephant. It was hot pink with blue nose and ears. She got it when she was a baby and our dog destroyed it.

She is now almost 11. She can't sleep and cries all the time. Her grades have dropped and she is losing interest in family and friends. If I don't find one soon I fear she will need counseling.

My heart is broken for her loss. She now hates the dog she once loved so much. I have searched the internet and can not find one. It may be another brand other than Puffalump.

Please help her.

Searching - Simple WHITE RABBIT Pink in Ears BIG SMILE

Zoe lost her "B" (what she calls him) last Monday and she really misses him =(. Zoe is 16months old and has had "B" since she was around 4 months old. She used to sleep with him every night and for naps/comfort.

Searching - 80's WHITE LAMB with BLACK FACE

It would mean a great deal to my daughter if I could find one of these lambs.

My daughter lost her favorite stuffed toy, a lamb, at Disneyworld. We believe that she left it in the bed under the covers. We contacted Disneyworld, but they told us nothing was found in the laundry.

My daughter was very sad and has been ever since. We have bought similar stuffed lambs, however none will do for her. I am on a quest now to find this. I believe the company that made this back in the mid 1980’s is no longer in business. If anyone could help find one of these for me I would be greatly appreciative.

In case anyone else needs this TY monkey, his name is Digits and there were several on eBay not long ago.

This is Louis. When my autistic son went to boarding school, he was going through a rough time. Being away from home was not what he wanted.

My mother told him she would send him (from Venezuela) a roommate, a friend to go to school with, and I got this monkey from a Hallmark store here in NYC, and we pretended she sent it. She named him after my brother, who is the clown in the family.

The bad day and ended up pulling Louis' legs off. I doubt I can fix it. I would rather try to get him another one. Actually, I should get a couple of them, however I can't find him anywhere. He is around 18 inches long from head to toes and comes naked (no sweater) not just for my son, but for his now ex-roommate that feels very bad every time he sees him and just keeps apologizing.

We told him we'll send Louis to the shop to be fixed, so I need you to please keep and eye for me on any Hallmark store in your area and of course I will pay for Louis and shipping, BTW I don't have a serial # or anything because he was supposed to come from Venezuela, so I removed the tag before boxing it for him.

I'm looking for a Tyke's (Carter's) Pale Pink Bunny Musical Plush Pull Toy with "Cuddle Me" embroidered on the belly. It was sold through Target Stores in 2003.

My daughter lost hers a few months ago and we are moving overseas, so it would be so appreciated if we could find one to help comfort her as we move!!

It certainly would be worth it to pay a good bit for something she loves so much, but moving overseas means that at this point we just don't have it to spend.

Searching - 60's? 70's? Lying Down BROWN DOG Wind Up Musical

I am looking for a brown plush puppy. It is a wind-up musical dog in a laying down position. I had one in the mid '70's, but don't know when it was made. It was a tannish brown furry material. It was about 12-16 inches long. I do not have any pictures of it. I have looked on eBay and don't see anything that resembles it. I know it's not much to go on, I just thought I would try.

About two or three years ago my boyfriend bought me an elephant stuffed animal. It's not fluffy on the outside, but the inside had little beanie type things in it. Searching - Hallmark Large PINK BUNNY

Pink bunny was purchased for our daughter in June of 2005. My Aunt thinks she may have bought it in a Toys R Us in June, 2005.

The label said Hallmark, but my husband thinks it was recalled. My daughter lost it and is devastated, and we are so desperate to find a bunny just like the one our daughter lost.

As you can see, she has picked and rubbed almost all the fur off of this lovie. The clothes are NOT original. The parents are frantic to find a replacement. Judging by the way this bunny has been used for comfort, I can understand why they are in such a panic!

FOUND - MOTHERCARE Light Brown TEDDY BEAR

Ian is looking for this same Mothercare bear. Hopefully somebody can help him out, too! He was able to find one in Madrid!!!

I too am looking for a teddy the same as the picture. As Mothercare no longer sell this model I hope someone can help me obtain one either tan colored or light brown like in the picture.

On the 22th Dec., my DH and our two sons were in the airport for the 7.30am flight to Budapest. (gate B22) Everything went fine until we were seated on the plane and suddenly realized that my 4 year old son's favorite teddy had been left behind. We had left it at the gate and couldn't go back to find it. To say he has been pining for it since is huge understatement.

He chose that teddy in Mothercare when he was 10 months old and slept with it every night since. I tried lost property in the airport and at the service air desk but no luck. I tried Mothercare, but the line has been discontinued. I don't know what to do at this stage except appeal to you all.

If someone picked up the bear for safekeeping we would greatly appreciate his safe return.

Also, if you have this brown, abt.12 inches long, teddy bear from Mothercare that your kids do not use anymore, please get in touch with me, as it my be the lookalike of the one my son lost.

FOUND - White Rabbit / Pink Satin Blankie LOST at FIREWHEEL MALL

Amanda was nice enough to let me know that she had found the blankie on her own.

We lost my daughter's favorite blankie. It is approximately 12x12 and is a white bunny head attached to the center of a pink blanket. The underside of the blanket is a pink satin material. The trim is white satin. The eyes and nose are pink stiched thread. We are 99% sure this was lost at Best Buy Firewheel Mall (75040) on April 30, 2008 between 5:30pm-7pm.

A Parent's Nightmare - How to Prevent Dealing with a Grieving Child Who Has Lost Their Lovie!

After years of helping frantic families desperately trying to find their child's lost lovie, I think I can give some knowledgeable suggestions to all you parents and grandparents.

First of all, If you realize that a toy is becoming very important to your child, it's time to start trying right then to get several duplicates, while they can still be found. Carter's, for instance, makes a new variation of their toys every 6 months. That's plenty enough time for your precious baby to pick out one particularly important toy as their security lovie and then have trouble finding a duplicate. Sometimes these lovies are blankies, but not always. Many babies become used to going to sleep to the music of a pull down crib toy. All kinds of super soft baby toys become "REAL".

So what can you do??

First of all, buy at least 3 backup lovies as soon as you are sure that is THE one for your child. Then, we would suggest that you alternate all of them so you don't end up trying to replace a raggedy lovey with his brand new cousin. Some parents have gone to the extreme to buy a new one and make it as "good as old," by dragging it through the dirt, smushing it, and running it through the washing machine several times.

While you still have a good one, take lots of photos of the toy close up. Show the tag, too, so you will know the brand information long after the tush tag has faded or been chewed off. Make sure you use a plain dark background for a light toy or a light background for a dark toy. Sometimes it is important to know where it was bought, or if it was won from one of those vending machines.

Of course you will want photos of your child with this important member of the family for your own photo albums. But I personally discourage displaying photos of your child with the toy on the Internet. We edit out the child as best we can on our Lost Toy Search Service posts.

Some parents put a phone number on the tush tag in laundry ink, but more put the child's name on the tag. With security issues concerning children and pedophiles becoming more and more a problem, I can't endorse putting your child's name on the tag, and certainly not their full name.

What do you do if you did not buy any backups, and now the lovie is in shreds? Take a photo of it, again paying attention to using the best background for the lovie. Check on eBay for a backup, but also add your request to the Want It Now section of eBay. If it has been lost, and the only photos of it are with your child, we will edit your child out of the photo as much as possible.

Be sure to send your request for help to our Plush Memories Lost Toy Search Service blog. We have been featured on msnbc.com, so we get a lot of traffic. The more eyes who see your request for help , the odds improve in your favor that someone will find it for you. And we have lots of satisfied families whom we have helped who search for requested toys as a way of paying me back for helping them find their lost lovie.

There are a few other places on the Internet that you can post a brief request, but most of those limit how much you can say and do not have any way of showing your photos. As far as I can tell, we have the best place to ask for help finding that lost toy. OK, so I'm just a wee tad prejudiced about that. LOL!!

I need to find a Carter's Just One Year brown teddy bear.

I unfortunately do not have a picture, but the best description I can give you is: approximately 11 inches long teddy bear with light brown body and darker brown ears and bottom of feet. He has a blue gingham bow around his neck and when you pull the tail it plays the Brahm's lullaby. I bought it at Wal-mart around the end of 2005 or beginning of 2006.

A Wonderful Story of a LOST LOVEY FOUND!!!

When I started this blog I hoped we could help parents help each other by providing a place for them to share photos and stories about the lost and bedraggled animals and dolls their precious children were grieving over. I hoped adults could use our site to get help finding special toys from their own childhoods, too.

When we get emails like these, I know it WORKS! And the time we spend and readers like Tami and Danielle spend making this site work is well worth it.

We got Meg's Doe Doe in the mail last night! It is the exact same one. I am so thankful for your website. I felt that asking for help to find the Doe Doe was a shot in the dark, but I was desperate for help.

A wonderful woman named Danielle visits your site and tries to keep her eyes open as she shops around. She found an exact replica of the Doe Doe at one of her local stores and bought him for us. She contacted us and sent us pictures to confirm it was the right one. Danielle and her daughter Honour sent her priority mail to Meg. Honour made a card for Meg that was so sweet.

We gave the Doe Doe to Meg, and it was the sweetest reunion. First we gave Meg Honour's card and explained that another very nice girl had found her Doe Doe.
Meg's eyes got really wide and she said, "Is my Doe Doe in that box?" That is when we let her open the box.

She kept hugging the Doe Doe and jumping around. Meg (who is almost 4 and thinks she is a princess) kept saying "Oh, Doe Doe, I can't believe we lived happily ever after." She also told me that she was so happy because now she didn't need to cry anymore. She hasn't put her Doe Doe down since.

I can't tell you happy she is. My husband and I are overwhelmed by how wonderfully this has turned out.

My son had a hippo that was made by KellyToy and I found it at WalMart 3 yrs ago. In any case He/We have misplaced it, and he can't go to sleep or take a nap with out it. We have tried to replace it with similar animals, but no such luck. This picture of him is when he was younger with it. It obviously would be much more loved since I took the picture. Searching - Manhattan Toy MAX the DOG FINGER PUPPET from the Grinch Set

I am looking for a finger puppet by Manhattan toy. It is from the Grinch Who Stole Christmas finger puppet theater set- Max the Dog! My son loved Max best and decided he had to carry him to Target one day. Wouldn't you know when we got home little Max wasn't with us anymore.

I called Target and even called Manhattan Toy - but the item is discontinued. I found a couple online new and emailed the people- but they wouldn't break up the set. I can't afford the $60+ price tag when I only need 1 of the puppets! Thanks!

Searching - CHAMOIS Pottery Barn GREEN MONKEY

We are searching for a green, chamois monkey from the Pottery Barn line "Critters," made in China (by Gund, I think) and sold at Pottery Barn Kids stores and outlets circa 2004.

There are a couple of other critters from the same line, including a blue hippo. This Green Monkey also shows up as a baby rattle, but I am looking for the Monkey itself. Mine seems to have gone on a long jungle adventure and my 3 year old is hoping he comes home soon!

Searching - WHITE RUSS KITTY

I am looking for a small kitten made by Russ purchased in 2004.

She added this information today after I sent her to look at one on eBay:

That is not it, but we have that one, too lol. The kitty is much smaller than that one. It almost fits in the palm of your hand. Also, I am not totally positive that it is a Russ, since the tag was rather washed out by the time I started to worry about if we lost it. Thank you so much for posting it and for cutting out my daughter a bit :) It was the best shot of it that I had, and didn't know how to edit her out.

Searching - WHITE LAMB Tan Paws

I am searching for a small lamb with a soft stuffed head and beads in the body. I do not know what brand he was.

It was purchased in the Spring of 2003, I think, possibly from Fred Meyer's. From head to tail he was about 5", cream colored body, pink lined ears, and pink thread nose/mouth, black bead eyes, and tan bottoms on the back feet, with tan fabric front feet - sort of like a sock.

He was my son's constant companion until we lost him on vacation last year, and I have been searching for a replacement since. Thank you for you help.

FOUND - Brown Shaggy MONKEY LOVIE

My 2 year old son has lost his beloved security monkey. He is heartbroken. We have posted flyers around our neighborhood. We bought it at Toys R Us 2 1/2 years ago. They say they do not remember this item and are of no help. We are desperate.

Searching - WHITE RABBIT Yellow in Ears and on Paws

I am trying to find a white bunny, maybe 12 in (?) in length with yellow oval foot pads and yellow ear insides. It was given to my 8 year old daughter by a woman very dear to her and I accidentally lost it and she keeps asking about it and I keep telling her I'm looking.

I have looked on the internet and called thrift stores. It didn't seem to be an expensive stuffed bunny--maybe one you'd even see at dollar tree, but it means so much to my daughter. She was very attached to this bunny and her "animals" are her closest friends. Any help at all would be so appreciated!

Searching - Chenille? White Rabbit PINK and BLUE TUMMY

My son had a bunny he was given the day he was born. It was white with floppy ears and a pink and blue tummy that was kind of like chenille. The most horrible story- he went in to have his tonsils out, and they let him take bunny.

The nurses THREW IT AWAY! It got sent with the bed drape to the compactor, and he's GONE! They won't let us go through the garbage due to medical waste, and my 6 year old is DEVASTATED.

I would love to find a replacement. I wish I had a brand name, but I don't. It was purchased at the Grove City Medical Center's gift shop in 2001. (The gift shop is now out of business). I have been going through so many pics to see if we had a snap of it, but it's always under a blanket or something.

If this bunny sounds familiar to anyone, we are so desperate to find one.

Searching - Carter's DOG GONE CUTE White Dog / Brown Spots 9"

Hi, We recently moved to Egypt and brought Sweet Puppy, our son's Carter's Dog Gone Cute plush dog, with us. Sweet Puppy got left in a taxi last week.

He is white with brown spots and ears and has a blue collar. This dog was my son's first favorite toy and has become his favorite lovey. ! The one I am looking for is very similar to the white and brown rattle sets I've seen on eBay, but it's one of the 9" Carter's (non-rattle) dogs.
