Are YOU searching for a lost toy?

Check Our Own Plush Animals & Soft Dolls CATALOG, or CONTACT US

Maybe we've already FOUND one just like one you need. See what people are SEARCHING for. If you have one of these toys, or know where they can get one, please help these families out!

I read each request, do the initial search, request additional information and photos, and edit most of the photos. Often I do find the lovie, so those requests never show up on this blog. I answer each comment or email that comes in about a posted request, act as a go-between to link people who can help with those who need help, and add new requests as soon as I can. Due to health problems I got way behind posting requests, so now I am trying to stay current with requests and gradually catch up on the older requests.

I can't adequately thank all of you who search for all these lovies I do post about. I get the ball rolling, but YOU are the ones who make this site work!!

FOUND!! Love Wins Out!! What This Blog Is All About!!

Greg was not the only one looking for this You Are My Sunshine yellow elephant. Try as I might, I wasn't able to locate one, or even a picture of one. But one of our readers, Janice, let me know there was one on eBay, and, after quite a bidding war, he won it!!

You Are My Sunshine Elephant

He posted this heart wrenching story as a comment on a previous search request here on Plush Memories, but I just couldn't leave such a story buried in the comments!
This must have been some Elephant! My wonderful girlfriend, and soul mate, told me stories about her Elephant (which is identical to the one you're looking for) She got hers from her father as she was torn from him arms in Saudi Arabia (she's American) Her and her mother spent some time in Saudi custody before the American Embassy stepped in and had them sent back to America. The trauma was too much for her mother and my girlfriend was eventually put into an orphanage where she was separated from the only thing she had left to remember her family (her elephant). She got a letter when she was 15 telling her that her father in Saudi desperately wanted to come to her, but was killed in the process.

She cries when she talks about it, and she's pretty much come to terms with the fact that she'll never see him or her elephant again. If I can find an elephant like this one, my plan is to tie an engagement ring on a ribbon around it's neck and give it to her. It's very symbolic of "family" to her and I think would be the perfect way to tell her I want to spend forever with her and start a family with her. If anyone can help me locate this elephant it could help a beautiful young girl get some closure to a horrible childhood, and could help me give her a feeling of security for the future! Please help!

The elephant was yellow, had pink inside the ears, sang "You Are My Sunshine," and the head softly moved while it was playing. I believe it was made by Eden. Thank you so very much!

Hopefully, Janice will check back to see if he won it, as I have no way to contact her. I'm sure Greg would want to send her a Thank You email, himself!!

I've asked Greg to tell us about how she reacts when he proposes to her with the Sunshine Elephant, and I'll be adding to this post then.

Searching - Pink Elephant with Gray Feet & Inside Ears

My daughter has lost her favourite toy - we think she has dropped it from her pram whilst out for a walk. We have re-traced our steps and cannot find it anywhere. The house has been turned upside down, and it is nowhere to be seen. If anybody knows where we can get another, I'd be so so so grateful.

It's a plush pink elephant, around 10" in size. It has blue/grey feet and grey inside the ears. The end of the trunk and the inside of the ears are the same colour and in a different material. The eyes are stitched black and there is stitching around the trunk. The feet have beans in them as does the body. I'm not sure what make it was, but it was similar to the NICI type stuffed toys which have different coloured feet and inner ears. I would do anything to get a replacement for her. Please please please, any help would be greatly appreciated!

FOUND - Manhattan? Sleek Plush Floppy GRAY ELEPHANT

We need a replacement for my grandson's lovey, which is coming apart after many washings. It is a gray elephant, lightly stuffed so that he is very floppy, with a long trunk and very large ears. He is super soft, but has a rather sleek fur, instead of a fluffy fur. We think he is a Manhattan toy. He was bought at a baby store in 2004. We later bought his cousin, a hippo, for the younger Grandson.

If you can help Grandma find this Manhattan floppy gray elephant, please Contact Us, including #080401-2 in the subject, or Comment Here.

FOUND But STILL Searching - Eden You Are My Sunshine Elephant

We found one for Greg, but there is a long list of others looking for this same childhood toy.
I am desperately looking for an Eden toys little stuffed elephant that played "You Are My Sunshine". The elephant is a wind up music box, and his head moves around as the music plays. He's probably about 9 inches tall.

Please let me know if you have one or know someone who does and is willing to sell it.

Thank you Thank you!

Erin

FOUND - USED Pink Elephant GUND SPRINKLES

One of our readers found two of these Sprinkles elephants in storage and emailed me. I wrote Amber, but she does not need them. If anyone else needs one, I can put you in contact with the gracious lady who has them.

Amber writes:
I went ahead and bought my daughter a new elephant. I think she's happy with it, so I think we're okay. Thank you so much for your service! I can't believe you contacted me about this--that's wonderful!!

GUND Pink Elephant
I'm looking for a pink stuffed elephant. It was pink and white with floppy ears, about 8"-10" tall. I think it was Gund but I'm not sure. (It IS a GUND.) It was definitely for babies, as my daughter got this for a baby shower when she was born and was never separated from it until we lost it 1 year ago. It was lost at a hotel in Des Moines, IA, and I called several times for months making them look for it.

We gave up on it until lately, as she's been talking about him. I tried to buy her a new one, but she wants her old one. She is 5 now, so the elephant was new in 2001 when she was born. If you can help at all that would be wonderful. Actually, a used elephant would be preferred...

Thanks,

Amber

There are lots of new ones for sale on eBay, so I wrote Amber asking if she had tried one of those.
I just bought one from eBay and we are giving that a try. My 5 yr old knows it's not "Ellie", her original elephant, but she's trying to bond with it. It's like she wants to, but she's still holding out for the original. That's why I was thinking if I could find a very used one it would be better. Thank you so much for all of your help!
Amber
So I'm going to leave Ellie in with the Searching category, even though Amber has bought a new one, just in case someone has a used one they would part with.

Searching - Elly the Elephant - Similar to a Puffalump

This is Elly, and she belongs to a grieving little girl named Alexa.

Elly 1990's Puffalump type Elephant
Sorry, I don't know what company made her, but she was bought in the early or mid 90's and was passed down to Alexa. The surface is like the Puffalump animals, and she is filled with fiber filling. Elly is washable.

She is a shrimp color, but some people may call it a light pink. Her eyes are embroidered.

Her body is blue, and the bottom of her feet and the inside of her ears are a blue floral cotton material.

Thank you so much for your help,

Johanne,

If you can help Johanne find this adorable Puffalump like elephant, please Contact Us, including #122406 in the subject, or Comment Here. (Elly is NOT a Puffalump.)
