Searching - CARTER'S PASTEL BEARS White BABY BLANKET

My daughter has a very old Carter's blanket that she has had since she was a baby. The blanket originally had blue, pale green and pink bears on a white background. It was cotton with no border.

After many years of love it is gray and has been tied together, so that it now resembles a rope instead of a blanket. She actually had a replacement that was lost at a hotel in Pennsylvania while she was spending the weekend with her dad. I have searched in every 2nd hand store for miles every time I go in and at garage sales.

If you know of anyone that has one, I would love to purchase it for her. She is 9 yrs old now, but still sleeps with her blanket every night.

Searching - JELLY CAT KITTEN Blue STARRY NIGHTS HORSE - PONY - DONKEY

My son is now 5. We gave him Donkey the minute he was born (after spending ages looking for a special toy when I was pregnant), and he loved him immediately.

We did actually do the sensible thing and buy 2 spares, but they have now been lost. Rowan is still attached to Donkey, and takes him to bed at night, and looks for him in the day if he's feeling a bit unsure, tired, or unwell.

So firstly we'd love a spare for Ro, in case we lose Donkey.

Secondly, Our younger daughter Ellwyn idolises Ro, and when he puts Donkey down, she will often go and cuddle it the same way he does. We've tried similar versions of her own, but it's obviously not the same! We'd love to get her one of her own.

Lastly (and this may be a bit tragic!) my husband and I are now quite attached to Donkey! He's linked to a lot of lovely memories, and I look forward to the day we can pass him on to the grandchildren - so the thought of losing him is awful.

Searching - 60's? 70's? SOCK IT TO ME Boxer MONKEY

My husband wants to get his mother a stuffed monkey like she used to have when she was little for her birthday.

All I know is it was probably between the 60's and 70's when the monkey was made, and it was a "boxer" and had boxing gloves on. One glove says "sock it" the other glove says "to me."

We asked my husband's grandparents if there were any pictures of it and they said no, they didn't even own a camera then.

Searching - Information about 80's? 90's? WHITE WOOLLY BEAR with YELLOW RIBBON & BELL

This bear is from the late 80's to early 90's. I got this bear when I was about 2 years old and have had it as my companion for about 20 years. She has gone with me to every country that I have travelled to and has even gone through college with me.

I am just curious to what kind of bear she is and where she is from, or if there are any others out there just like her.

My bear, that I have named Snuggle, has a large significance in my life and was given to me by my godmother.

The photo shows what she looks like now, but when I first had Snuggle, her fur had a curly texture (like the woolly Fabric Softener Snuggle Bear). She is 12 inches or so in height and had a yellow ribbon with a bell on her neck. What is left of her fabric tag was gold on one side and white on the other.

Searching - Hallmark Small WHITE BUNNY Wearing a BURGUNDY BOLO TIE

I am looking for a stuffed bunny. Some say that it looks like a lamb though. It was purchased in 1982 or 1983 from Hallmark I believe, at least that's what my mom says.

It is about 6 inches tall with floppy ears and a burgundy Texan style bolo tie and it is sewn into the neck area. She has a bell in her bottom. Please help me find a new Miffy (NOT the Dick Braun Miffy). She's been my best friend for years, and I would like her back.

FOUND a Substitute - 80's White MOTHER and BABY LAMB Crib Pull Toy MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB

Joanne was able to find a different mother and baby lamb toy that plays the same song, and her daughter seems happy with it.

I'm looking for a crib toy, originally purchased about 10 years ago. It's a stuffed mother ewe and her lamb (both white), connected by a string. The body wasn't really floppy. It was more of a traditional sheep shape (four small legs facing downward).

When you pull them apart, it plays "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and they slowly draw together again. I've trolled the Internet but no luck. I don't remember the brand. :(

Our first child was given the toy as a gift upon his birth. When I had a second child, I passed it down to her. When she grew, I "cleaned house" one day and gave away a lot of stuffed animals to charity. I should have kept that one, even though it was a crib toy. She's been pining away for it and is upset with me for giving it away, so I told her I would search everywhere to see if I can find another.

What It FEELS LIKE to SEARCH for a Lost Lovie & to HELP SOMEONE ELSE FIND THEIRS

I was teasing Liza about being such a busy lady while I was thanking her for spending so much time searching for other people's lost lovies, and this was her response:

I have been busy! It really has gotten to me - I mean, it's not only affected my daughter, but I'm just as saddened at losing her Poppy.

I can really feel for both parents and kids whose lives - although others can't see why - really DO get turned upside down when kids lose their loveys. It becomes days and then weeks of this all-consuming desire to both comfort your child, while at the same time beginning the daunting undertaking of finding a replacement.

Helping that man find a replacement for his daughter's bear yesterday made me feel so good. At least I helped one little girl - even if it wasn't my own. I figured, today, since I had a really light day here at work and some free time, I could at least take one day and devote it to looking for lost loveys. Some parents may not have the luxury of free hours to devote to searching.

Hopefully, I was able to help someone else. I hope I did. Again, it makes me feel a little better knowing that losing Poppy, as cheesy as it sounds, wasn't in vain since I ended up helping someone else.

Now back to searching for Poppy!!!!!!!

Searching - 90's IKEA White GOOSE (No Clothes)

Hi! I am looking for a plush duck (or some may say he's a goose) bought from IKEA. He is white with a long neck, an orange pointed beak, and dangly orange feet. He's reasonably big, maybe 10" to 12" tall.

He didn't come with the shorts; that's an addition made by my hubby (the precocious-looking child in the photo).

He was originally bought overseas 18-20 years ago at an IKEA in Saudi Arabia(IKEA is a chain store that sells Swedish home furnishings. It is also a brand because the toys they sell are manufactured by them, too.) I think the time is around there...he was my husband's favorite childhood toy.

I know this is a ridiculously impossible thing to find, and I greatly appreciate your time. I completely understand if you don't want to take this one on. But if you do, please know that my husband and I will be infinitely grateful. =)

Hi! I was searching for the same goose my sister bought for my daughter in Sweden 9 years ago.

She bought her 2 at IKEA over there, and they have been refurbished with new fur, but I wanted one to have on her shelf. My sister said before she moved back to the states in 2002 they stopped making the white goose. They had a black one for a short time - then no more. You might try contacting IKEA directly. Maybe they have one in a warehouse somewhere. Good luck! I can't find one as cute and plush as that one.

She is looking for the 1985 WHITE BUNNY like this bear.

I'm looking for my 1985 Precious Moments by Applause plush white bunny. It had pink silk detailing (in the inside of ears and bottom of feet) and had tear drop shaped eyes.

I don't have any photos, sadly. I've been able to find his bear companion from the same year, "Cubby", on eBay, but no bunny. If I'm correct, this was the first year that Applause partnered with Precious Moments to make plush animals. The bunny and the bear came with a pink Precious Moments heart necklace that opened and each had a saying.

I lost it when I was a little girl and would love to be reunited. Any ideas?

My best friend used to have this "creature" when he was younger, and it was his best friend. It was his safety blanket and his childhood toy( you know the kind you never want to give up.) When they moved from one house to another, the creature got lost. I have been looking for this creature for months now, ever since he has told me this story. He was heart broken when he found his old one all ruined.

So I went looking for a replacement. I know it won't be the same memories and such, but it will still be something to show off to all the people the remember him with the toy.

His Fisher Price Puffalump Monster Dinosaur is one of the Big Things series, No. 6861. It is teal, with the two yellow horns, red feet, and purple fluffy hair on the top.

Searching - 70's YELLOW COW Black Spots Windup OLD McDonald - Farmer in the Dell

Funny how God puts people together. He knows I've searched for years for this cow. My son, nor I, have a picture of him.

My son named him "COWPEE." He's a yellow cow with black spots from around 1978. He doesn't sit up but, rather, lies down. Plus the cow winds up and plays "Old McDonald" or "Farmer in the Dell", not sure which. His head moves when the music is on.

Please help us replace him. My son is having a baby soon and he wants one for his new baby.

It will be a miracle if we find one but, God can help with the desires of the heart.

This is a stuffed toy elephant I think was manufactured but discontinued by Eden. I'm not sure about the size, but it's at least 18+" It has a white face. The inner part of the ears are pink surrounded by yellow. Its arms are light blue, ending in pink.

Its body is fairly straight with the outer area being dark blue. The inner area is in the shape of a yellow neck tie. Bottoms of the feet are pink. It is a soft, fluffy but rather flat stuffed toy elephant. The one pictured is 13 years old.

There is a zebra, a tiger, a elephant and a mouse.

I'm looking for a green striped stuffed animal from Beech Nut Fruit stripe gum. I'm sorry I don't have a photo. These were stuffed animals maybe in the 60's for Fruit Stripe Gum. There were 4 animals...a zebra, and maybe a horse and an elephant. I know my green (lime) striped one was a tiger. I named him Toenail, and he spoke thru me in a funny voice. I would love to find another.

Searching - 90's GUND White SHEEP Named WOLCOTT

I got my "Lambie" when I was around 2, and I've loved him ever since. Now, my baby brother was recently born, and I'd love to find him a Lambie of his own (I'd give him mine, but we live in different countries and I couldn't bear to be without mine!)

Lambie's real name is "Wolcott"; it may have said it on his hangtag (which is long gone), but it doesn't have any name on his butt tag. He is made by Gund (more specifically, by Sandra Boynton while she worked for them), and I purchased him around 1995 at a Marshall's Discount Store, so he may have been made before then.

His body is a white, polyester wool look-alike, while his face is a light tan velour-ish material. His hooves, nose, and ears all use the same velour, but the nose/ears are pink while the hooves (all four) are a greyish-brown. His eyes are plastic, and his mouth is sewn on. He is sitting up, and is roughly 8 inches tall.

From a collector's website (http://dragonfire1.50megs.com/Boynton/plushgund.htm), I know they also make a Minimals version, which is 4 inches tall. That would be okay, but I would prefer the larger version as it's more childproof. Ebay had the 4 inch for sale two days ago, but my Google search decided to only show it to me today.

The picture you have looks just like it was bought in 1963. I had it when I was a baby and my mother throw it away. It is pink and fuzzy in a bunting suit with plastic blond hair and a plastic face. I adored that thing.

When my sister was little she carried around her bunny with her everywhere, until she accidentally left him on a plane. Now she is about to graduate from High School, and I really want to give her a reunion with her lost love as a graduation gift!

I think it was made by EDEN. The whole bunny was a thermal fabric. It had a white head with pink in the ears and yellow overalls (also thermal and sewn as part of the bunny). My mom bought it in Cracker Barrel in the early 90's. I know there were other colors available too (all pastels).

Searching - DUCK DUCK Childhood Lovie

I have this stuffed animal duck duck from around the 1980s. My beloved stuffed duck is named duck duck and she's my oldest treasure. However, early this week she was taken apart by my puppies and I'm looking for a clone of her to use to put her back together.

She originally had winglike arms. She had a pink and white checkered bow that matched her pink and white checkered jumper/skirt thing.

She's my childhood in a nut shell and she deserves to be in her original fabric and stuff. I simply need another one and I have no idea where she came from, who made her, or anything. Can you help me?

Searching - 80's Brown and White Furry Bunny Charlie? Fluffy BROWN and WHITE RABBIT

When my daughter was born in 1982, my mother bought her a stuffed rabbit. I'm thinking that most likely, she purchased it at a K-Mart store. It was probably about 14-16 inches long and the fur was fluffy. I think that the rabbit had a tag on it that said it's name was "Charlie".....because that is what we named it.

My daughter had her rabbit for close to 20 years. And slept with it almost that long. During a move a few years ago, she lost it. I have placed ads and I have searched, but have never found anything. My daughter is going through some difficult times right now with her health and she keeps saying, "if only I had Charlie to take care of me."

Searching - 90's WHITE RABBIT

I am desperately searching for a white rabbit with closed thread eyes and a pink belly button. This rabbit was purchased for our oldest daughter in 1990 for her first Easter. I purchased it at Caldors in Maryland.

She loved her rabbit until it no longer had fur and was only the threads barely holding it together. She has now lost this rabbit, and I would love to replace it for her before she leaves for college. Unfortunately we do not know who made the rabbit nor exactly the name of it. Searching - Puffalump Type BLACK and WHITE DALMATIAN

I am having a baby, and I would like her to have the same stuffed animal I had!

It's a black and white Dalmatian made out of (we think) parachute material and poly-fil stuffing. We thought it might of been a Puffalump animal from Fisher Price. The eyes are not like black circles...they are oval half white half black.

Searching - Puffalump Type HOT PINK BEAR? ELEPHANT? BLUE NOSE & EARS

My daughter had a hot pink Puffalump type bear/elephant. I think it was a bear, but she swears it was an elephant. It was hot pink with blue nose and ears. She got it when she was a baby and our dog destroyed it.

She is now almost 11. She can't sleep and cries all the time. Her grades have dropped and she is losing interest in family and friends. If I don't find one soon I fear she will need counseling.

My heart is broken for her loss. She now hates the dog she once loved so much. I have searched the internet and can not find one. It may be another brand other than Puffalump.

Please help her.

Searching - 80's Skinny Cream MUSICAL TEDDY BEAR

Her bear looked something like this edited view of another bear.

I'm looking for a very small( probably 12" tall) cream colored teddy bear. My dad bought it for me when I was born in 1987. It was fairly slim as teddy bears go, and the fur was very short. Sadly, I don't have any pictures. It was also a I wind up, but I never knew what the name of its tune was. It also had black eyes. I lost it a few years back and have been desperate for a replacement ever since.

Searching - 60's Yellow Yarn Haired CLOTH DOLL

I am looking for a doll from my childhood. I had it when I was 9, and it was THE only doll I ever loved. I lost it when my family was on a vacation here in Canada and never saw it again – or anything like it!

From what I remember of it here’s the best description I can give:

She was cloth, circa late 1960/early 70's I think, and she had yellow yarn for hair, wore a pink and white gingham checkered dress (same style as a Holly Hobbie doll) but with the non-HH face – more of the big round eyes – almost kewpie-like). She was anywhere from 12”+ AND HERE’S THE MAIN THING I REMEMBER: She had a musical wind up in her back and she played a soft lullaby (I can’t really remember the song(s)..

I would do ANYTHING to find her. I KNOW she wasn’t the only one made, but it sure feels like it. I’ve seen close to her but nothing..I would LOVE to have her again, to keep and pass along to my daughter…

IF you find it in your heart – PLEASE pass this post along to any collector, or anyone who can maybe direct me to a location to find her. It sounds silly but, it’s almost like looking for a lost child – or a lost piece of my childhood, really. If you know where I might find her, please let me know! I’ve already searched through eBay…

Searching - 50's Large LAMBSKIN Standing LAMB Glass Eyes Not Steiff

When I was a small child in the mid-late 50's I received a stuffed lamb made out of real lambskin and stuffed with straw or excelsior. I think it might have come from Germany.

I know it is not a Stieff, because I collect Steiff. I don't have any pictures. It was not plushy...it was stiff stuffing, but it was not like a Steiff either...it was all real lambskin..no wool. It was not the size of an old Steiff. It was bigger than the small ones and not as big as the newer big ones. As I recall it was about 24" x 24" standing...it was not jointed per se, with beautiful glass eyes. It was a wonderful thing.

Years later my niece's dog chewed it up. I have been looking ever since for another one. I have tried eBay and Google. Perhaps someone here knows of one.

Searching - SNOOZIE Pajama Wearing LAMB Talks - Whisker Kiss

When I was younger my sister and I had this toy that we loved. I have done a lot of internet searching for it, and have come up empty handed....please help!

It was a lamb that was wearing pajamas, and I think he had a pj hat, too. I believe the pajamas were light colored with vertical stripes. He was called a Snoozie (sp?). He had a box inside and said the following phrases: "Snoozies love to snuggle tooo" "What I really miss is a whisker kiss", and "Kiss me and hug me, squeeze me a love me.

Searching - 60's? 70's? Lying Down BROWN DOG Wind Up Musical

I am looking for a brown plush puppy. It is a wind-up musical dog in a laying down position. I had one in the mid '70's, but don't know when it was made. It was a tannish brown furry material. It was about 12-16 inches long. I do not have any pictures of it. I have looked on eBay and don't see anything that resembles it. I know it's not much to go on, I just thought I would try.

Searching - 70's RUSTY ORANGE Standing DOG Long Ears BROWN CORDUROY BODY 3 Buttons

It was standing up, like a person, and was rust orange with long floppy ears and a brown corduroy body made to look like a jumpsuit. I believe it had three buttons down the front. Searching - Eden BLUE YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE ELEPHANT

My fiance, Mary, told me the story of her "Ella" a while ago. We are getting married in August, and as a wedding day present I would love to have a like new version for her. I will try to get her to tell me the whole story again, so I can send you more details.

It is something like this.

She adopted Ella when she was about 1-2 yrs old. It belonged to her brother first, but was never played with. I guess she found her and just never let her go. This was almost 24 years ago. She has never gone any where with out her and she is now loved into a very used condition. I will send some pictures. She has had some surgery throughout the years too. No more music box and she is stuffed with baby pajamas by her grandmother.

While I was deployed to Iraq, I left my Teddy bear (1981 Gund named Macintosh) with Mary.
I have had him since I was 3, and I have loved him into a very used condition also. Mary took great comfort seeing Mac and Ella together. She took strength in their friendship and kept them both close throughout our 15 months apart.

I searched for a blue version of Ella for hours on-line. I found the picture from you. When I showed it to her she squealed in delight and it is now her desk top background. She giggles and smiles every time she sees the picture.

A Parent's Nightmare - How to Prevent Dealing with a Grieving Child Who Has Lost Their Lovie!

After years of helping frantic families desperately trying to find their child's lost lovie, I think I can give some knowledgeable suggestions to all you parents and grandparents.

First of all, If you realize that a toy is becoming very important to your child, it's time to start trying right then to get several duplicates, while they can still be found. Carter's, for instance, makes a new variation of their toys every 6 months. That's plenty enough time for your precious baby to pick out one particularly important toy as their security lovie and then have trouble finding a duplicate. Sometimes these lovies are blankies, but not always. Many babies become used to going to sleep to the music of a pull down crib toy. All kinds of super soft baby toys become "REAL".

So what can you do??

First of all, buy at least 3 backup lovies as soon as you are sure that is THE one for your child. Then, we would suggest that you alternate all of them so you don't end up trying to replace a raggedy lovey with his brand new cousin. Some parents have gone to the extreme to buy a new one and make it as "good as old," by dragging it through the dirt, smushing it, and running it through the washing machine several times.

While you still have a good one, take lots of photos of the toy close up. Show the tag, too, so you will know the brand information long after the tush tag has faded or been chewed off. Make sure you use a plain dark background for a light toy or a light background for a dark toy. Sometimes it is important to know where it was bought, or if it was won from one of those vending machines.

Of course you will want photos of your child with this important member of the family for your own photo albums. But I personally discourage displaying photos of your child with the toy on the Internet. We edit out the child as best we can on our Lost Toy Search Service posts.

Some parents put a phone number on the tush tag in laundry ink, but more put the child's name on the tag. With security issues concerning children and pedophiles becoming more and more a problem, I can't endorse putting your child's name on the tag, and certainly not their full name.

What do you do if you did not buy any backups, and now the lovie is in shreds? Take a photo of it, again paying attention to using the best background for the lovie. Check on eBay for a backup, but also add your request to the Want It Now section of eBay. If it has been lost, and the only photos of it are with your child, we will edit your child out of the photo as much as possible.

Be sure to send your request for help to our Plush Memories Lost Toy Search Service blog. We have been featured on msnbc.com, so we get a lot of traffic. The more eyes who see your request for help , the odds improve in your favor that someone will find it for you. And we have lots of satisfied families whom we have helped who search for requested toys as a way of paying me back for helping them find their lost lovie.

There are a few other places on the Internet that you can post a brief request, but most of those limit how much you can say and do not have any way of showing your photos. As far as I can tell, we have the best place to ask for help finding that lost toy. OK, so I'm just a wee tad prejudiced about that. LOL!!

Searching - 50's?? 60's??? GRAY MAMA CAT Lying Down ZIPPER TUMMY With or Without Original Kittens

I think this one from eBay is very similar. It’s a Dakin from 1981 same color with three kittens, only they attach as if nursing with Velcro and do not go in the tummy. That’s the closest I have found so far.

Here's an update on Carrie's mother's condition as of 06/25/08:

She is making incredible progress! Due to a stroke after the surgery she needs physical therapy to strengthen her left side and to help walk but is definitely gaining that strength. She has a speech therapist and is making progress there too! She just had eye surgery which cleared her vision in her left eye. The doctors say she should make a 95-100 percent recovery which is totally amazing!

Please help if you can. My mother recently suffered a brain aneurysm and we do not know her prognosis. When she was little her favorite toy was a stuffed cat with Velcro a ZIPPER tummy that had kittens inside. Mom is 55 years old, so I imagine the cat was in production 45-50 years ago.

I think it would help her to have her kitty by her side again.

I don’t have a picture of the cat, but I remember that it was gray and in a laying position. It was one of the more realistic looking stuffed animals for the time (1950’s). I don’t know if that will help.

I have even searched for a cat that looks similar so that I could add the tummy and kittens but I have not had any luck. She lived in the Los Angeles area, San Gabriel I think… if that helps.

A Wonderful Story of a LOST LOVEY FOUND!!!

When I started this blog I hoped we could help parents help each other by providing a place for them to share photos and stories about the lost and bedraggled animals and dolls their precious children were grieving over. I hoped adults could use our site to get help finding special toys from their own childhoods, too.

When we get emails like these, I know it WORKS! And the time we spend and readers like Tami and Danielle spend making this site work is well worth it.

Hello! First..I am a true believer of your site and search it frequently in hopes of helping a child/family if possible. I believe I am able today to reunite a sad little girl with her most beloved doggie friend who was lost in a move!

We got Meg's Doe Doe in the mail last night! It is the exact same one. I am so thankful for your website. I felt that asking for help to find the Doe Doe was a shot in the dark, but I was desperate for help.

A wonderful woman named Danielle visits your site and tries to keep her eyes open as she shops around. She found an exact replica of the Doe Doe at one of her local stores and bought him for us. She contacted us and sent us pictures to confirm it was the right one. Danielle and her daughter Honour sent her priority mail to Meg. Honour made a card for Meg that was so sweet.

We gave the Doe Doe to Meg, and it was the sweetest reunion. First we gave Meg Honour's card and explained that another very nice girl had found her Doe Doe.
Meg's eyes got really wide and she said, "Is my Doe Doe in that box?" That is when we let her open the box.

She kept hugging the Doe Doe and jumping around. Meg (who is almost 4 and thinks she is a princess) kept saying "Oh, Doe Doe, I can't believe we lived happily ever after." She also told me that she was so happy because now she didn't need to cry anymore. She hasn't put her Doe Doe down since.

I can't tell you happy she is. My husband and I are overwhelmed by how wonderfully this has turned out.

Searching - WHITE RABBIT Yellow in Ears and on Paws

I am trying to find a white bunny, maybe 12 in (?) in length with yellow oval foot pads and yellow ear insides. It was given to my 8 year old daughter by a woman very dear to her and I accidentally lost it and she keeps asking about it and I keep telling her I'm looking.

Searching - Mattel? Hasbro? 80's LARGE STUFFED BLUE BABY ACTIVITY DOLL Dial in Tummy

I am looking for a soft body cloth baby doll that my daughter had in 1986-87. It was either by Mattel or Hasbro.

She was a chubby doll sitting with a blue bonnet attached and blond hair sticking out. She had a yellow dial like a rotary phone on her tummy and one of the feet played music when you pressed it. I don’t remember what song it played.

As you can see in the pic the hat was multicolored and I think she had a bib. My daughter is 22 and has a daughter of her own. This doll was lost during a move, and I would love to surprise her with it for my grandbaby’s birthday.

Searching - Very Hard to Find PUFFALUMP White EASTER LAMB

I'm looking for a white "Easter" puffalump lamb 1987.

My 21 year old daughter sleeps with the remains of her "puffy" every night, and I wanted to replace it for her. It has become so shredded that we had to put it in pajamas from an old doll to keep the stuffing inside. She also sleeps with a chicken puffalump that was from that same era, and it has held up much better.

Every time the lamb gets washed inside a nylon bag, it has to be re-stuffed. Maybe that is why they are so rare, they didn't hold up as well as other Puffalumps.

We have lost it 2 times. Once at a pizza place while traveling through Blythe, Arizona. They mailed it to us in a pizza box and another time it got scooped up in the hotel linens, but was salvaged the following day through notes written in Spanish to the hotel crew. Needless to say, it is like another member of our family.

I often tell her, when she gets married, she might have to leave it behind. She disagrees Ha!

Searching - 80's Seated Brown Floppy Eared PUPPY Dog with RAINBOW PATCH

Obviously this is my attempt to show something of what Melissa's Puppy looked like.

I have a stuffed animal that I received as a gift when I was born, which was in 1985. He is in a sort of sitting position like most stuffed animals and has long floppy ears like a rabbit, but looks like a dog. He had a rainbow patch on his stomach, but mine has been chewed up by animals a few times so my Mother had to replace it with a heart patch.

I slept with him every single night and called him "Puppy". I always liked the feel of his ears and was constantly rubbing them. I rubbed his ears so much that he doesn't have ears left. He has glass black eyes and a oval nose. This stuffed animal means a lot to me, and I would love to find another one, so I could have one for my 19 month old daughter.

FOUND - Very Hard to Find LARGE WHITE PUFFALUMP LAMB

Greg wrote to me not long ago, and I wanted to share this happy ending with you.

I am looking for a White Puffalump Lamb, Fisher Price #8009, My girlfriend has had it since a few months after she was born, and her sister's dog shredded what was left of it last week. It would mean a lot to her if she could get another.

Knowing this is a very hard to find lamb, I wrote back, telling him not to get his hopes up. As I always do, I spent some time searching for this lovey, and was surprised to actually find one for sale on eBay. Granted, it was not cheap, but Greg did get my urgent email telling him where he could find it. He's written back with this happy conclusion:

My name is Greg, and you were able to direct me to a vintage 1986 Puffalump Lamb on e-bay. I just wanted to let you know that I won the auction, and the Lamb has been given to my girlfriend. It is exactly like the one she has had since her birth that was destroyed recently.

When I gave it to her she just stared at it for about 30 seconds in silence, stunned. Then spent a good while squeezing it, and crying because she was so happy. It means more to her than just about anything I can imagine. I just thought you might want to know how wonderfully happy you helped make a very special person. Thank you so very much. I hope your business does very well. Anyone I know who might be able to use your site, I will refer in a heartbeat.

I wanted all you dear folks to know that I really do try hard to help each and every one of you. Our Search Service averages over a thousand readers a week, and my inbox fills up every day with requests for help. We do sell plush toys, so sometimes we have the item in stock people are looking for, and occasionally we make an immediate sale.

Usually I can find one or two lovies on the Internet the first day I get the email, simply because I have learned from experience how to search for plush toys. And I find even more within a few days. So a lot of toys are found, such as Greg's, without anything showing up on this blog at all.

Right now I have about 75 or so requests that I have emailed the person, asking for more information or a photo, and for most of those I have already done an initial search on the Internet. There are about 50 requests that are ready to post as soon as I can get time to do it, some with good photos, and some with poor ones that I have tried to edit into presentable condition.

Lately we have had several requests asking if we make a certain toy. No, we do not make the toys, only find them. We can, however, suggest that families contact two ladies who are quite skilled at making replicas, Susan and Hanna. Their links are on the sidebar.

We get lots of emails from folks wanting to know how the posting works.

I have our email address hidden in a Contact form, so we do not get flooded with spam. I also try to protect the email addresses of the people writing to us. We value our privacy and yours!

There is no way for a reader to directly post a photo, although some do write their requests in a comment. That's fine, but for the best results you need to Contact Us with a complete description and a brief story about why you are looking for the item. I will get back to you as soon as possible, so you can send the photos by reply email.

Searching - 80's Plastic Painted Face DOLL - WHITE FUR BUNTING - YELLOW Piping and Shoes

Usually I post only a brief story about why someone is looking for a particular lovey, but this is one time I have made an exception. I have pieced together parts of several emails she sent, so if it seems to repeat, that's my fault, not hers.

Please read this story prayerfully.

When I was a baby my parents brought a doll to me in the hospital. She was a baby doll with a music box in her back. It is kinda like your picture, but she had a sweet painted smiling baby face made of hard plastic, and her mouth was open. It was not a doll that moved with music though.

She had yellow piping up her sides and her shoes were of yellow felt that were molded with cardboard inside of some sort. I remember that because the back of the heels were worn.

It was a cloth doll, and I think it was a white faux fur body, with the yellow piping. The yellow piping was on the sides of the legs that went down to the yellow felt feet. It was like she was in a hooded bunting.

She was maybe 10 inches tall, but it was not a very fluffy doll. It had a skinnier body, not a very full plush one. I think it may have been from 1980, the year I was born, because I don't remember ever not having that doll as a child.

The baby doll had a small circle crank on her back for the music box inside her. I can still remember the song, even though I will probably never hear it again.

The song was not a typical "doll song". If it was anything I suppose it sounded like a waltz - A song people would dance slowly to. Maybe a waltz that was a love song?

The song spoke to me as a child and I always imagined people at a costume ball waltzing to it in Victorian gowns with powdered wigs. That seems so strange I know. But I just remembered that detail from childhood, and it seems very silly that I would be thinking of a Victorian costume ball with people waltzing to a love song at abut 4 years old. But I did.

It kind of makes me sad to think about her. My step mom threw her and a lot of my other toys away, along with my baby pillow and baby blanket. Yes, it was extremely cruel and mean. I think that probably makes me the most sad, because she threw it away. I will never ever hear the song again. I cried a lot when I was little. My mom was always in and out of the hospitals, because she is schizophrenic and bi polar.

But that doll is from when I was born. When ever I cried, if some one wound up the doll for me or if I wound it up I would stop crying. I know it sounds pathetic, but even when I was like 12 and up, I still had the doll and would wind it up if I was sad or crying, and it would make me feel better.

If anyone could help me find a doll like her I would be forever in your debt.

I have tried so hard and still haven't even figured out the name of the song that it played. I have kind of given up and come to realize I may have failed miserably. It's a touchy subject for me. It sounds silly, but I have cried over that doll more times than I can count.

My childhood was not stable or very happy often times and it was the one thing that was always stable that could always cheer me up. She was kind of like a best friend that can't be replaced no matter how hard you try - Your attempts just make you sadder and more hollow each time.

Searching - 1980's PINK LAMB Wearing Apron WINDUP Mary Had a Little Lamb

I don't know that anyone is likely to find what I am looking for, because I don't have many details. But I have to try.

When my dad found out that my mom was pregnant with me, he bought me a little lamb toy that I had until I was 19, when I lost everything I owned due to illness and money issues.

I really would love to find a lamb like it. I was born in 1981 and the lamb was a very light pink, on four legs. She had an apron on, and I believe she had a metal wind up key that played "Mary Had a Little Lamb." She was 6 or so inches tall, and her legs were a little longer than you would imagine a lamb's legs to be.

I wish I had more information, but I don't even have a picture of the brand name...but if you can find anyone who thinks they MIGHT have one fitting the description, I would love to see what can be found.

FOUND but Still SEARCHING - CRACKER BARREL Tan Monkey HOLES in NOSE, MOUTH, EARS for FINGERS & TOES

There have been several people asking for more information about this monkey. His name is Rutherford III, and he was made by RUSS, Item #601 (TP-14).

I am looking for a tan colored stuff monkey ( small /medium size) that was sold in Cracker Barrel stores in the early 1980's. It had holes in its nose, mouth and ears that you could stick its fingers and toes in. It was my favorite toy, and it has been misplaced after all these years. I do not know the name brand, nor do I have a picture of it. If anyone can help me locate this monkey, please let me know.

Somehow, it was ALWAYS his favorite toy!!! (T.J. just had an instinct about people!!)

Long after most children give up stuffed animals, T.J. took Pink Bunny to bed with him! (This is one of those “time for bed” photos!) I called one of his former girlfriends, because I remembered that he had given it to her when he was 16.

She didn't return my calls, and I am terrified that she might have thrown it away when they broke up. However, just in case "Pink Bunny" made its way elsewhere, or in case there is another one just like it somewhere out there, I'd love to buy it.

I had always envisioned that, someday I'd be in a nursing home, clinging to that precious pink, fuzzy rabbit wearing a pink & white checkered suit (sewn-on). In fact, the only places he was "fuzzy" were part of the ears, his head, and paws. I believe Pink Bunny was about 11” long with ears extended up.

Shortly before we lost our son, I lost my job, my home and my mobility -- and also my church community! (I was the organist/choir director at a church where I'd expected to stay for the rest of my life, but due to some strange misunderstandings, plus the perception that I was "tired" from caring for my elderly mother, I was forced to resign! This came as a terrible shock! Then I was injured while my husband & I were moving into my mother's home, as she was no longer able to live alone after her stroke (yes, I'm the only child). Mom just died this past July, and we're still here, unable to afford to move to a home of our own. (Trying to help our son exhausted all of our resources.)

I am still deeply depressed and unable to work, except for substituting as organist periodically (at other churches) and having 2 piano students (I used to have 35 or more!) I just can't seem to get my health, memory or concentration back.

But being able to hold Pink Bunny again would really help!

FOUND - Kid's Preferred BLUE & WHITE PUPPY DOG with Baseball Style STITCHING

Hi! I am looking for a plush blue puppy dog with a white tummy and patch around his eye. It also has white "baseball" stitching.

Searching - GREEN FROG Plush FULL BODY PUPPET

We have lost our green full body hand puppet plush FROG. She's about 14" tall and her name is Jolene. She's very special. We were trying to get off the #4 subway at Grand Central when a big man pushed his way to the seat Heidi was vacating. I managed to get off the train with Heidi, but Jolene stayed on - never to be heard from again.

No luck with posters or lost and found. No luck searching the internet. She is probably at least 8 to 10 years, old maybe older.

Heidi has emotional problems as a result of extreme back reconstruction and a 3 way by-pass after 5 heart attacks. Jolene makes her feel safe and goes everywhere with her. Things have not been the same around here since this happened on the 24th of January, 2008.

Jolene does not normally wear glasses. Her hands and feet are plain, not webbed.. I sure hope you can help.

Searching - Pony-Go-Round PINK MUSICAL PONY "All the Pretty Little Ponies"

I wanted to thank you. A year ago, May, my son had left his Carter's Best Friends Comfort Blanket, which he called "Doggie". It was a blue satin trim blanket with a dog head/arms in the center. You helped me find one! We were able to purchase it (for a pretty penny because they didn't make them anymore) and have it sent. It was just like the one that was left at the hotel. So, he took to it right away. I can't say thanks enough!!!

I have a blue musical pony by Pony-Go-Round. It plays, "All the Pretty Little Ponies". It is a 2001 North American Bear Company product(NABCO). The little pony's head will turn when the music is played. I purchased it in 2003 when I was pregnant with my son. He moved in the womb when I held it close to me.

I did right purchasing a blue color even though I didn't know if I was having a boy or girl. Now, we have just had a little girl. I have searched everywhere to get her the pink version of this pony. However, I have been told that it is not made anymore.

Do you or anyone out there know where I can get one of these?

Searching - "I AM YOUR LITTLE RASCAL" Large or Small DOG

One of our very helpful readers sent me this today. I am writing regarding the dog - I'm Your Little Rascal -- Here is a photo of the large one. He is wearing a green shirt (Desmond is looking for one with an ORANGE SHIRT.) He is the large one - about 12-13 inches I would say - no beans. I sold him in December - for I think $75.00 to a lady who was buying him as a Christmas gift for her boyfriend. It seems like it was Dakin or Russ -- I just don't remember which. I'm leaning towards Dakin.

I am looking for a stuffed dog from the 80's. I had two sizes of this dog. The smaller size one has a beanie body while the bigger one doesn't. It is orange brown in color with dark brown flappy ears.

It has oval plastic eyes, and the nose is sewn in thread. The big one wears an orange shirt which say "I am your little rascal", while for the smaller sized one the shirt is actually part of the body, sewn together.

Both sizes of dogs are in a sitting up right position with the hands and legs outstretched.

Does anyone has any idea what is the name of this dog and where can I still buy it now?

Searching - BLUE BUNNY RABBIT

This bunny (Edgar) means the world to my husband and me. He went missing three years ago now, and I can not even begin to tell you how much he is missed. I'm looking for him to get some kind of coherence and sanity back in my life. I need this bunny back. We both do. Please, please help.

I would estimate it at about 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 inches. He could stand up by himself. His ears stood up and were fairly pointy, but were soft and you could move them back and forth. He was pretty soft, I'm not sure what he was filled with (it felt kind of like squeezing foam if you squeezed him), but his body wasn't stiff -- he wasn't overstuffed.

What you can't see in the pictures is the little tail he had. It was quite small and I think might have helped him stand. It was sort of off-white, and dense. It was not poofy or big. It was like a small white pom-pom very low on his back, and touched the ground when he was standing. I don't know what material he was made out of, but it was a little bit like felt. His tail was of a different material than the rest of him.

Searching - Carter's AQUA NURSEY RHYMES BABY BLANKET

This is NOT the blanket she is looking for, but it is similar. Sarah says it looks like it might be an updated version of the one that they lost. The characters were aqua, and the fabric wasn't ribbed.

I bought an old (70s or 80s ?) Carter's blanket at a second-hand sale in 1999. It quickly became my daughter's favorite, and she named it "Grongy". It was a white cotton blanket, with nursery rhyme scenes printed on the front and back in a pale aqua color.

I had written our phone # on it with a black Sharpie. We believe it was lost at a restaurant in November, 2006. My husband even went in the dumpster of the restaurant looking for it, with no luck. Unfortunately, I think it is probably in a landfill by now. I have searched e-bay, and I still look in the lost and found section of the local paper every day!

If anyone has seen this blanket, or knows where I may find one, please let me know! My daughter, now 6, still asks about it. We are all hoping for a miracle!

Searching - TIGGER BLUE BABY BLANKET

I just found your website tonight...

I actually have one of the blankets someone else is looking for (I've already forwarded her email to that parent), so it gave me hope to find my son's favorite blanket!!!

It is a blue blanket with a picture of Tigger on one side of it. It has Tigger printed on it, too. I do not know where it came from, because I got it at my baby shower, and, of course when I went to wash it, I cut the tags off it. I have searched EVERY WHERE for a replacement. His is just ready to fall to shreds...

I am looking for a "Baby Things" musical sunshine. It is a round plush sunshine, that when wound up plays "You Are My Sunshine". It was bought in 1982.

My children and nephews have grown up with this toy. It is a very special childhood toy, because this is the song my mom sang to them as infant.

There was a similar looking one on eBay. However, ours was not a mobile, and was just the shining sun.

Wonderfully Happy Ending to Our Search for the Yellow "YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE" Elephant!!!!

We have several people who are looking for this particular elephant, but this has to be one of the best stories anybody could imagine. You will have to go back and read the original request now, before you read the ending.

One of our readers told me when the elephant went on eBay, and I wrote Greg. He won it! I wrote him yesterday, to find out how Christmas turned out, and here's his reply:

Rosemary, it went better than I could have ever hoped! We put the kids to bed, and put all the Christmas presents under the tree. When we were finally ready to go to bed, I waited until she left the room to change.

I put it under the tree and wound it up. She came into the room, stopped, tried to find out where the sound was coming from. When she approached the tree and picked it up, she couldn't believe what she had in her hands!

As she turned around, I was standing there with the ring, and asked her to marry me! I think she was overloaded and didn't know what to do! She immediately threw her arms around me and muttered a teary "YES!!". It melted my heart to see her happy, and that entire week she broke into tears at the drop of a hat. :)

I'm certain that I've found the person I was meant to be with forever.

I saw the article on MSNBC.com and knew I just had to ask--does anyone, anywhere, know where I can replace the "lovey" my son got when he was a baby?

It would have been Easter 1991, and it is a small white bunny, 6-7", with ears lined with pink satin, that was a premium with a purchase of Dunkin Donuts. I'd post a picture but no one would recognise what this looked like new after having been dragged around by my (now 17 yo) son for several years.

Searching - GUND Large PINK PUPPY DOG with HEART HANGING from his NECK

I am looking for a stuffed pink dog for my daughter Danielle. She discovered this "pink puppy" in the grocery store around Valentine's Day while we were waiting for her prescription to be filled - she was sick with the croup right before she turned one year old. (So this would have been Valentine's Day 2005.)

The pink puppy is made by GUND - in their HEADS and TALES division (the puppy has both these tags on him). The puppy stands up and has a large heart that hangs from his neck (even though ours was lost!).

Searching - LOST in KATRINA! Cloth Body Composite Boy Doll MOLDED BLOND HAIR

Lost in Katrina. Boy doll with cloth body. He had a rubber head and hands, soft rubber. His hair was in curls ( molded rubber also). "Sonny" was about 2 1/2 - 3 ft long. We had pictures of him from when I was a baby, but lost those also.

We were not home today, so I didn't email Stacey with the link, the way I normally would have. Stacey sees the comment - did somebody who knows her let her know? I have no idea how she knew, but she bought it, and came back here to thank Tami for her help!
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction, folks.

My son, just before his 3rd birthday, lost his best friend, Monkey Monkey Go Go Pork 'N' Beans. He named him that several months prior, and the monkey had become the centralized character to all of his bedtime stories.

Go Go Beans, as we nicknamed him, was left on an airplane. On the hour-long car trip away from the Denver airport, I realized the monkey was missing. Our In-Laws wouldn't turn around on our midnight journey, so the first thing I did when we got to their home was to call and fill out a missing-item report. 2nd was to look on eBay to see if there was another available. That was in September of 2006, and I have been looking on eBay at least once a week ever since.

Noah didn't notice that Go Go Beans was missing at first. We attempted to distract him with the wiles of being on vacation. Once we got home, we were heading out on a road trip to an improv festival. On the way out the door he said, "Don't forget Go Go Beans!" We sat him down. He cried. A lot. We explained that Go Go Beans stayed on the airplane, because he had so much fun, and that hopefully he'd see the world and then come home soon.

Noah asked to write a letter to him. He dictated and I wrote and drew pictures at his request.

"Dear Go Go Beans,
We want to give you a birthday. (He had me draw a cake with two candles) I hope you're having fun on the airplane. I miss you and I miss you on the airplane. Plane. And I miss you on the ride of the airplane. And I love you *SO* much.
Candles. Birthday Cake. Happy Birthday Go Go Beans. Clock. Email us, please. Trees. Mountains. Milk. Buttermilk and chocolate milk. Regular milk. Frog and Giraffe miss you. I miss Go Go Beans. I want you to come home soon. "Tell him that I miss you." Milk. Frog and Giraffe and now candlesticks.

After talking with Target (the parent company that made the original monkey), and their unwillingness to help, I turned to the internet.

I posted the letter to a general discussion section of the Etsy.com forums 10 days before his 3rd birthday. I wanted to know if a few people would send a post card from Go Go Beans.

As of right now, (January of 2008) we have more than 150 post cards from not only around the country, but from around the world - France, Kuwait, York, Australia, Germany to name a few. People have sent stuffed animal friends that Go Go Beans sent back along the way, they've sent artwork, newspapers, magnets, stationary and more. And with all of the many post-cards sent by complete strangers drawn to the story, we have no way of thanking them. We just know that this little boy is thrilled for their kindness.

And while we're still looking for the real Go Go Beans (yes, weekly on eBay) my little guy is excited anytime a post card arrives in the mail. He's 4 now, and can't read just yet, but he knows anytime we get anything in the mail, whether it be a box or a letter or post card, he shouts "Its from Go Go Beans!" and his little heart bursts into delight, instead of tears.

One Family's Solution to Losing a Child's Lovey

One of our readers sent me this story about what they did when her daughter's lovey was lost.

We went through the agony of a lost lovey in 1989, when our middle daughter, then 2, lost her beloved pink Bunny. We were on vacation at a Texas dude ranch and Bunny was absolutely filthy. At the end of the trip we shopped in Fredricksburg, TX, and somehow Bunny got lost between visits to two stores. We noticed he was gone immediately. We asked people, dug through trash bins, and I called stores for a week....no Bunny. The trip home broke our hearts as Sarah cried hysterically all 5 hours for Bunny.

Immediately upon arriving home, I hopped back in the car, drove to a fabric store, and brought home all the materials to make a new Bunny as close to the lost one as possible. Although I didn't finish new Bunny that day, our daughter slept that night with his head. She, and we, got over it and her replacement Bunny has slept with her every night since.

She is now 20, a college senior, and Bunny continues to be her sleep time companion. For me, the quest for finding Bunny 1 faded gradually; I held out hope longer than was logical. For Sarah, she loved Bunny 2 from the get-go.

If you can't find your child's lovey, maybe you can try to recreate it with fabric as we did. True, it won't be identical, but I look at it this way: our children aren't identical and still we love them all. May it be this way with your kids and their loveys.

Searching - WHITE CAT with DARK BROWN STRIPES on His BACK

. Hi - I'm the guy from the MSNBC story that also featured your site. What a great thing you have going here!

It's been a month since Gigi was lost, but Simon still mentions him every couple days, although he has taken to his Gigi Bear replacement pretty well.

Still, we would like to find Gigi again, either the real one or a replacement of the same make. He had no tag, so we don't know who made him - and we bought him at Marshall's and have no receipt...so that trail has ended.

Maybe someone out there will recognize his maker?

BTW, we keep Gigi alive in Simon's life by leaving little things "from Gigi", like chocolates, and little things for the Christmas advent calendar magically appear overnight.

My wife's idea - I thought it would traumatize him more, but he enjoys hearing about Gigi and knowing he's around somewhere. He thinks that Gigi is out there on the train having fun, and playing on the elevator in the station.

He's about 10" in length, soft plush white fur with brown stripes, 2 beady eyes, and threads for whiskers. He's more worn looking than the picture indicates.

Searching - 70's or 80's BROWN HOBO DOG - CLEM????

Hello,

I saw your website and I thought I would email you and ask you if you possibly know of a toy that I am in search of. You look like just the people who can help me. I don’t know what the toy is called, neither do I know who made it. All I know is that the toy was made sometime in the late 1970’s or early 1980’s.

It’s a stuffed dog who was dressed like a hobo. He had bib overalls with patches and possibly a hat. He was brown and had a black nose, but the nose was not plastic, just fabric. For a mouth he had two strings sewn on the snout. He had an apple or a strawberry patch on the left side of the bib of the overalls.

If you have heard of such a toy or even know what it was called, please let me know. I would really like to find this item!

FOUND - Carter's LITTLE PRINCE BLUE BEAR Twinkle Twinkle PULL CRIB TOY

I am looking for a Carter's bear that was made in 2005 - it is made of quartered blue panels of two different very soft feeling fabric, with the words "Little Prince" embroidered on the chest. It also has a tail that, when pulled, plays "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

Any help in getting another one would be greatly appreciated; and I am willing to pay a reasonable price to obtain it.

Searching - Large Handmade BABY BLANKET Lost on Tybee Island, GA

This is NOT the exact blanket Melissa is looking for, but the pattern is close.

I'm searching for a lost blanket rather than a stuffed animal, and it was handmade, so it would be difficult to find a replacement, but I'm hoping your site may help get this blanket returned.

Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of it, but it was a double-layer flannel blanket with a white background and a pattern of brightly colored cars, trucks, boats, etc.


It had blue (sort of royal blue) crocheted edging around all 4 sides. It was larger than a typical baby blanket.

This blanket belonged to my son, who has had it since he was a baby and was 7 years old when it was lost. We left it in our hotel room on Tybee Island, GA, in July, 2006. I called the hotel every day for a week and they never found it, but I'm positive we left it in the room. I also called the cleaning service that cleaned that hotel's linens, but they couldn't find it either (although they did find another blanket, just not ours).

If I had known that the hotel wouldn't look for it, we would have turned around and gone back to retrieve it (I called them within 2 hours of when we checked out), but I assumed that they would return something that was clearly of great sentimental value to a child.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am searching for a Carter's Child of Mine Bunny Hugs plush bunny, wearing a yellow beanie and yellow pajama and white bunny slippers. It contains a rattle within and has a white bunny head and white paws. It is approximately 9 inches in length.

On the front of the pajama is an embroidered cartoon bunny with eyes closed and head tilting to one side. Underneath the embroidered bunny logo is a small heart, and beside the heart are the words, "Bunny Hugs" in blue thread. This toy was sold at Walmart in the year 2004-2005.

I'm looking for the gray Rumple bear (Hugsey by Fisher Price). My husband got one from his mother when he was just a little boy. He was going through a rough time then, and when his Momma gave it to him, she said, "Always keep this with you, and any time you get scared you hug that bear and think of me, and he will protect you."

Searching - Skeeter NOT TY Cream Stuffed Dog with BROWN EARS, EYE, & SPOT on BACK

I'm looking for a little stuffed dog that has been with me and my girlfriend through thick and thin the last years. We both worked and were going to school 4 nights a week. At times we got pretty miserable, but this little guy was always able to help me cheer her up and vice versa.

He has also traveled everywhere with us. We both had a really bad feeling before our last trip out of the country and debated whether or not to bring him. Unfortunately our instincts were right, and he disappeared. We can't figure out how. He was there one second and then gone.

We knew we were attached to him, but were floored by how much it affected us. There were and still are tears - and we're in our 30's! All the people at the hotel, and the airport have been really helpful and understand where we are coming from. But, he hasn't turned up. We're heart broken.


We'd love to find a replacement and then, and I know this sounds absolutely crazy, hire a spirit channeler to help us collect his energy from the ether and transmit it into his new body. Hey, we live in California so something like that is perfectly normal around these parts :)

I have many pictures, his name tag read "Skeeter" but he wasn't the Ty Classic Skeeter. He was made by another company whose name I can't remember. He was purchased in early 2001.

I really hope that you can help us out. We got through some pretty crazy patches with his help. We really want to have those memories of where we've been and how we made it through, and, of course, we want him to be part of our lives going forward.

Searching - Carter's CHILD of MINE LAMB with YELLOW PRINT BODY

I did a search and found your site and I'm actually looking for a lamb you found for someone else. My 3 year old son has his "lamby" that he's never slept without it. He won't go anywhere without it.

The problem is that it's falling apart and threadbare! The stuffing is coming out, and I'm afraid if I try to re-stuff it and sew it, I'll ruin it, and then he would be heartbroken.

I pulled this part of the description from the last person we were able to help:

It has a jersey body with a light print on it. It is about 8" with fuzzy legs with peac>h ends on them. Its head has velour like material on the face that is a light peach material, with bright blue stitched eyes.

It was made exclusively for Walmart in 2003 by Prestige Toys. The manufacturer says it is no longer made. The body has a sound box in it. I think it used to make a twinkle sound.

FOUND - DanDee MY FIRST BUNNY White Fur Pink Body

Several readers have written to say they have one of these bunnies, and Keith was able to get one of them. If someone else is looking for this lovey, they just might be in luck!

I am looking for a "My First Bunny". It is approximately 10 inches tall and the body, arms and legs are pink, with white paws and head. There is satin on the inside of the ears and feet. The eyes are black beads. It had other items sewn on it (ribbon around the neck), but have since fallen off. Any help is appreciated.

Searching - 80's PINK with CALICO BUNNY RABBIT

I am searching for a pink and calico patchwork rabbit that was purchased in the early 80's, probably at a local discount store here in Northeast Ohio, like Fisher Big Wheel or Kmart, probably around Easter time.

It was my son's constant companion, until it was lost at a park and never found. It was not a high quality item or a collectible, but "Bobbity" was very, very much loved by a certain chubby-cheeked little boy who is now a grown man.

He has gotten over it, I'm pretty sure, but I haven't! And I probably won't be able to stop this obsessive searching until I find another "Bobbity"!!

Please, any help here is much appreciated!!

Searching - Plush LADYBUG Squeeks

I am searching for a toy ladybird / ladybug. She came with a baby sleep suit that said, "I'm just a little larva, but soon I'll be much bigger!"

She is white underneath, has red wing cases with black spots (of course), and she has yellow horns and a squeaker in her that squeaks when you squeeze her.

I searched for years for one, I wrote to the factory and the importers, but no one has one. They came from a silly little shop like PoundStretcher in England - I think it was Poundstretcher. My son has had her since he was a baby, and he keeps asking for a new one, but we can't find one. Do you have one?

FOUND - Variation of the Carter's Pink Musical Rabbit with ONE Purple Flower

Thanks to Kathy, one of our readers, Mayra now has the bunny she has been looking for!

Now that Mayra has seen a picture of the Carter's bunny, she realizes that the one she needs is a little bit different from the one others here are looking for. So, she sent me this picture, and I have moved her request from the other post.

Searching - BLOND BOY Plush DOLL Wearing WHITE BEAR COSTUME

I need help identifying a particular plush toy. My little sister had a small plush toy of what is presumably a little blond haired, blue eyed boy in a white bear costume, with a pattern of small light blue bears and tiny pink hearts printed on the white cloth. It has a light blue bow tie on the costume.

The closest resemblance I can think of is that it sort of looks like Kenny from "South Park", except its whole face is exposed as well. I remember seeing a pink one as well with a rabbit costume, instead of that of a bear. Any help would be appreciated in identifying the name of this plush toy.

Need a Replica Stuffed Lovey??

Not long ago we were able to help several of our searchers who needed to get replicas made of their long lost toys, by sending them to Susan's Sewnique, and from what I have heard, they were extremely pleased with the results. She is not able to take on any more orders at this time, so I was glad when one of our readers gave me a link to Hanna Bruce Bears and Toy Hospital. Talk about a well put together site!! Even if you don't need a duplicate of a toy made, Hanna's hospital website is well worth taking a look at. She also repairs toys, and there are plenty of pictures there to show off her skill level. We have corresponded, and she says she is ready and willing to help any of you who are desperate to get a replacement lovie.

Searching - HERO HIPPO 80's Plush Hippopotamus

This is NOT the Hippo she is looking for, but my attempt to come close to what it looked like.

I am looking for a stuffed toy Hippo from the 1980's. It was about 8-10 inches high, had on a shirt (might have been an orange shirt,) that said HERO on the front. I believe it was a tan color (Now that I look at your picture I'm thinking it was a lighter color more beige.), short legs, the shirt was orange and had written HERO or HIPPO HERO on it. A size for a younger child or toddler to easily hold and carry.

This is a stuffed animal my 28 year old son vividly remembers fondly, and now he has a 3 month old son, and I thought it would be fun to find one for him. Your picture is very close ~ the shirt was I believe short sleeve or sleeveless, and he was thinner - not so plump and stiff.

In the mid 80's I was given a pink stuffed pig wearing a blue dress, apron and bonnet. She was about 15" tall, and her ears stuck through the bonnet. It was my favorite toy as a child, and I lost in a move across the country.

Seaching - PUPPY LOVE Vintage Stuffed DOG

My granddaughter was born on November 20th.

I've been searching for "Puppy Love" since the day we found out she was on the way.

My daughter has had her "Puppy Love" on her bed since my mother gave it to her 30 years ago. It's my hope that I can locate one for my granddaughter to love and cherish. She is anxiously awaiting her very own "Puppy Love". I have told her all about him and she is very excited!

He's a bit forlorn looking and has had most of his upper fur pulled out because my daughter used him as a stress reliever and picked it all out. His manufacturers tag is now just a bit of fiber and is completely unreadable.

Searching - EDEN Vintage WHITE FLUFFY BEAR Blue Ribbon

I have been trying to find a site to help locate a desperately missed very first bear purchased immediately upon notice in 1991 of first long-awaited pregnancy. Bless you!

Large Bear by Eden, lays on stomach, cream to white with blue satin ribbon, lost at Ramstein Air Force Base Germany Post Exchange Store (PX) in 1997 (I think). Daughter, although now 15 still yearns for her very first bear that was never out of her site.

It is very soft with semi-long fur and his name is Cuddles. Don't recall if that name was on the tag, or merely given. I researched with Eden many years ago to get a replacement, but after a huge run around for hours, spoke to someone who thought they recalled the bear, but it was no longer purchased. Hoping to have a remake, I have been trying to recontact them, but haven't even been able to pull up an active site again. I still see very soft excellent quality plush animals in stores, but can't locate them any longer or the bear. Please see what you can do if there is anyone out there with help, ideas or most unbeleivably, the original Cuddles if you found it at the Ramstein AFB, Germany PX. I will pay a reward for the return. We're still crying over Cuddles! I will dig through Keepsake boxes for a photo (there were lots) that will be helpful if you can post. Thank you!!'
