This is one of the old requests that I am trying to catch up with, and David was kind enough to email me. He writes:

I am looking for a green frog that I purchased in 2004 at Babies R Us. It was a Carter's toy, and it was a medium to large sized plush animal. This one did not have any music box or anything inside of it.

My son just turned 4, and it has been missing for a few months. His was the biggest of all and it was probably 15 inches tall or so. He would use his body as a pillow.

FOUND a Substitute - 80's White MOTHER and BABY LAMB Crib Pull Toy MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB

Joanne was able to find a different mother and baby lamb toy that plays the same song, and her daughter seems happy with it.

I'm looking for a crib toy, originally purchased about 10 years ago. It's a stuffed mother ewe and her lamb (both white), connected by a string. The body wasn't really floppy. It was more of a traditional sheep shape (four small legs facing downward).

When you pull them apart, it plays "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and they slowly draw together again. I've trolled the Internet but no luck. I don't remember the brand. :(

Our first child was given the toy as a gift upon his birth. When I had a second child, I passed it down to her. When she grew, I "cleaned house" one day and gave away a lot of stuffed animals to charity. I should have kept that one, even though it was a crib toy. She's been pining away for it and is upset with me for giving it away, so I told her I would search everywhere to see if I can find another.

FOUND - Carter's Just One Year BUNNY with HEARTS ON TUMMY & PURPLE EARS with RATTLE

Marcy's husband found one on eBay!

I am looking for a Carter's First Year Bunny that is white, has multi-colored hearts, lavender ears & paws and a rattle inside. I bought it at Target January, 2007. I think they had one after that w/o the rattle, which is also acceptable. (Marcy has decided to wait for the rattle one and try to get Andi to accept a different lovie in the meantime.)

My husband and I adopted our twins (Alexander and Andi) from Guatemala. I sent this bunny down for Andi when she was 2 months old and requested that I get it back when we picked them up. They've been home for a year now (they're 19 months old), and she has not let that bunny out of her sight since.

I need to find a replacement before it falls apart. I had no idea Carter's changed them out, or I would have bought more at the time. I've been searching on eBay, but haven't seen this exact one.

What It FEELS LIKE to SEARCH for a Lost Lovie & to HELP SOMEONE ELSE FIND THEIRS

I was teasing Liza about being such a busy lady while I was thanking her for spending so much time searching for other people's lost lovies, and this was her response:

I have been busy! It really has gotten to me - I mean, it's not only affected my daughter, but I'm just as saddened at losing her Poppy.

I can really feel for both parents and kids whose lives - although others can't see why - really DO get turned upside down when kids lose their loveys. It becomes days and then weeks of this all-consuming desire to both comfort your child, while at the same time beginning the daunting undertaking of finding a replacement.

Helping that man find a replacement for his daughter's bear yesterday made me feel so good. At least I helped one little girl - even if it wasn't my own. I figured, today, since I had a really light day here at work and some free time, I could at least take one day and devote it to looking for lost loveys. Some parents may not have the luxury of free hours to devote to searching.

Hopefully, I was able to help someone else. I hope I did. Again, it makes me feel a little better knowing that losing Poppy, as cheesy as it sounds, wasn't in vain since I ended up helping someone else.

Now back to searching for Poppy!!!!!!!

FOUND - Baby GANZ Blue LION with MULTI-COLOR MANE

Sammy is 5 years old and has a twin brother Michael. When they were born, they were each given a gift of this Baby Ganz Blue Lion with a colorful mane and tan paws and nose.

It became their special "coochie bear" first, then as they grew older they called it their "baby". They became inseparable until the day that Sammy's disappeared. He was devastated!

The entire house, car and anywhere else we could think of was torn apart and upside down. Still no baby and Sammy is heartbroken. We need another baby for Sammy. Can anyone out there help us out? We have contacted both Baby Ganz and Baby Gund and search eBay daily. We obviously need more help. We pray someone out there can help us find baby for Sammy.

FOUND - Carter's YELLOW BEAR with BEAR SLIPPERS

My daughter lost her "baby" while on a trip to London and Paris. This has been her favorite lovie since birth. It is a yellow bear with a rattle inside and bear faces on the feet.I managed to find a similar one in pink that she refers to as "baby's sister", but it's clearly not an adequate replacement. I've searched eBay and other websites to no avail...

This search should be one that our readers can help with. Catherine says the Prestige Co. has told her it will still be in Target Stores until Dec. I did order the one I managed to find and the toy company named Prestige Toy Co. returned my email to say they are only available at Target & they will be gone for good by Dec. 8th.

I have all my friends combing Target stores.

FOUND - Carter's PINK LAMB with FLOWERS

One of our very helpful searchers needs our help!

Hi, I am glad to help anyone I can....I understand the heartache a parent goes through as they watch their child aching for something precious they have lost or is too worn out.

My two year daughter has lost her little lamb recently in our move, and it has never been found. It is pink, around 10" long, and from Carters. It has darker pink flowers on the front and a larger one on top of its head. It has a pink bow around its neck also. It is filled with those plastic pellets and the tag said style #36942.

Her Granny bought it at Sears and I know that it was also sold at Kohls, but has been discontinued as of the fall of 2006. I think it was licensed in 2005. I have checked with Sears, Kohls, and JCPenneys without luck and also eBay. I have also posted an ad on eBay's "I Want it Now" so hopefully someone will see it and contact me.

FOUND - Carter's Light Brown Teddy Bear Wearing PINK PJ's HEARTS

We were able to help Sarah find this bear, and now Cathy needs one. I have copied most of Sarah's description.

I am searching for a Carter's plush bear. It is a brown bear, but has a pink 'pj' on with a fake button on the top.

It has a series of 4 hearts on the left side of it's body (you can sort of see them in the picture). One is solid pink and the other 2 are just outlined in pink, and there is a very small gold heart (just outlined) as well.. It is not a rattle bear. Just stuffed with stuffing.

It also has a pink sewn fake button on the top, like pj's have. There are no slippers on the bear. It's just a pink PJ bear with the hearts on it - pretty plain and simple actually.

My daughter is very attached to hers, and I am afraid she will lose it and I want to have a backup for it. The style number is 48732. Any help will be appreciated.

Wow, definitely a close match. Her doll was so worn it is difficult to tell for sure. I have purchased the cat and can't wait till it gets here. Lost: White Cat obtained from a Sugar Loaf vending machine approx. 1.5years ago.

While on vacation in Florida, my 3 year old daughter Scarlett lost her best friend, She She. She She slept with her and pretty much went with her everywhere. She She was a gift from a stranger a little over a year ago who had won her from a Sugar Loaf vending machine in our hometown, Pittsburgh.

As soon as we realized she was missing (within a few hours) we went back to the restaurant and retraced our steps with no luck. She She is like a member of our family and definitely my daughter's best friend.

We've tried to contact the vendor and gone back to the vending machine without any luck. This simple stuffed animal brought so much comfort and joy to our daughter. Thanks for any help you can give us in finding a replacement is much appreciated. Unfortunately, we don't have any manufacturing information.

Please help, my 3 year old is devastated.

Kar, one of our helpful readers, suggested that Stephanie might be able to do some "creative sewing" as she put it, on the musical version that was available on eBay and turn it into the rattle.

Shanyn's very excited to report that the last eBay item link I sent her was the correct one. That just leaves Jenny, but I do not have any way to contact her. I'm looking for a Carter's My Best Friend Puppy Rattle/Blanket. It's blue and says My Best Friend on the blanket part and also has knotted corners. I received it at a baby shower in Dec 2006.

My son loves it! He chews on the knotted corners and sleeps with it every night. I'm looking for a back-up, in case ours gets lost, & also to give him when I'm washing the first one (he takes it outside with him.. haha). I saw where someone found one on your site (3/28/08) and was hoping someone out there had another one! I've only found 1 on eBay so far.

I too was looking for this and ended up buying 2 musical ones and 1 not musical. My son actually prefers the musical one now. Anyway, I got the little one at the Carter Outlet Store in Las Vegas and there was still one available. Also there was one available in California.

I am looking for this Carter's plush puppy that is actually already listed on this site. If you could help me find this it would be great. I have spent countless hours looking for one. The one that my son has is falling apart and he can't do ANYTHING without it.

Also, I don't know if that posting is for the musical one or not. We need the one that does NOT play music.

FOUND - GUND Jiggles FROG

Thanks to one of our great readers, who found two Jiggles in her basement and contacted me. I sent Caren her email address, and the Jiggles have been sent. Yes, folks ... that's the way it's supposed to work!!! And here's the great ending to this story:

I received “Mr. Froggy” from Julie (along with an EXTRA!!) only days after my initial email contact with her. I am truly astounded by her generosity and thoughtfulness in sending this to us so quickly. And the fact that she paid for the shipping and didn’t charge me a penny is remarkable. I have no words.

We hid Mr. Froggy in my son’s room and he was absolutely delighted and amazed to find him. It has been a couple weeks now, and he still cannot believe he has Mr. Froggy back. My husband now tells him stories about “The Adventures of Mr. Froggy” about the things Mr. Froggy did while he was “lost.”

FOUND - PEEK A BOO PANDA Magnetic Hands & Eyes

I am looking for a Panda Bear, about 7 inches high plush toy. It has a white head with 2 large black eyes, a red nose, and black smiley lips. (maybe made by Fisher Price ? )

The feet are red and green, the arms are purple, and there are black spots on his tummy.

Can you tell I had to do some creative editing to get the photo?

It has magnets in the paws and inside the eyes to play peek-a-boo. My grand-daughter lost hers about 2-3 years ago. It means a lot to us. Please help this Grandma.

FOUND - PINK PUPPY Lost in Hospital HELP!!!!!!!

July 2, 2008 - I thought you might like to hear an update on Avey's condition. Amy writes:

She’s doing MUCH better – out of the hospital and just taking some more meds. I so appreciate you checking in on her!

I spotted Jay while searching for a different pink puppy. Hers is a Baby GUND My First Puppy, in case anyone else needs to search for this dog.

Jay goes everywhere with Avey. He’s been to the park, to the grocery store and, very recently, and to the Starlite office (where two real-life puppies almost gave Jay a trip directly to Puppy Heaven).

Anyway, when the nurses came to change the sheets on Avey’s hospital bed last night, they apparently rolled Jay up and took him off to The Place Dirty Hospital Sheets Go...

Avey has been told that Jay is taking a ride through the hospital to visit all the other sick little girls and boys...

FOUND - Carter's FLUFFY FRIENDS DUCK RATTLE Plastic Ring & Clip

Colette emailed us. Thank you so much for all your help in trying to locate a replacement for my sons lost toy. My sister in law has located a replacement of the exact same toy my son lost. She found it on eBay and my son should have it by tomorrow. Thanks again. I will keep watching your website to see if there is someone that I might be able to help. My 6 month old son has lost his favorite plush Carter's toy, and I am afraid that it has been discontinued. It was a stroller hang on a plush duckie that had a ring around the outside of it with to tiny colored rings around the big ring on each side of the duckie's feet.

In the middle was a clear ball that had beads in it that made a really neat rattling noise. You have a hippo on your Carter's toy pages that is the exact same concept as what I am trying to find. I would be interested in the ducky and maybe the hippo as a back up. My son has been cranky since he has lost it, and I think he really misses it. Please let me know if you can help. I have scoured the internet and called all the stores that carry Carter's toys and have had no luck, but have found hope with hitting upon your site.

FOUND - Blankets and Beyond MINKY DOTS BLANKIE

I did find one on eBay, but the price was too high for them. So, I will leave this in Searching. Hopefully, somebody will see this who has one stuck back somewhere or find one at a yard sale.

And it worked out just that way!!

Here's Natalie's reply to my email trying to figure out what she still needed for her twins, after I connected her with Corrie, who wrote to tell me she had one her child was not attached to!

I knew it would be a little confusing, sorry. I had two styles - one for each girl. Charlotte originally lost her blanky (aqua minky dots), and you helped me locate two blankies on eBay. One was similar and the other was exactly the same as the one she lost selling for $39. This particular ebay store ALSO happened to be carrying the exact same blanky style that Amelia has (she never lost hers) also selling for $39. After contemplating spending $80 for two blankys, I bought the similar looking blanky for Charlotte @ another ebay store, for two reasons. #1 it was cheaper, #2 I saw a few listed on eBay so I knew if she took to it--I could easily buy a back-up.

Well, Charlotte hesitated at first-- now after about 3 weeks she loves her "new" but similar blankie (it has a little doggy head attached). Last night I bought back-up for Charlotte of the new/similar blankie with doggy head attached AND I contacted the woman from the email you forwarded to me yesterday.

After learning the hard way I started searching for a back-up blankie for Amelia. The only one I found was at the eBay store you emailed me originally that listed Charlotte's aqua minky dot style for $39. I contacted the woman and I was able to buy a back-up which is "the exact same style" as Amelia's blankie for $33 with s/h.

So the final score:
Amelia ---one original lovey blanky and an exact back-up for emergency case
Charlotte ---one new/similar blanky and one back-up on its way + the original blanky aqua minky dots I desperately searched for from the beginning, hopefully on its way from a KIND Mommy who read your post - who has one her daughter is not using.
Mommy ---penniless but happy she'll have some peace of mind with back-up blankies for sanity sake!

GREAT STORY!!!When they are older you will have to share this story with your girls, for sure, Natalie!!

I'm desperately searching for my daughter's lost blankie. It was lost on 4-9-08 in Poughkeepsie Area in Dutchess, NY. I went back to the two stops we made, Target and HSBC bank, with no luck.

The blanket was made by a company called Blankets and Beyond in Montreal, CA. I purchased it from my local Wal-Mart in Sept. of 2007. It is a 14"x16" blankie with Minky Aqua Dot fabric and Disco Dot Satin fabric on the reverse. The minky side has a 2" satin border. I've searched eBay and Wal-mart with no luck. Unfortunately, I can't find the company who made it either. Please help us locate another, my daughter has had it since she was 6 months old and uses it for sleep, comfort and naps.

Her twin sister is now suffering too, because I now have to hide hers so they won't fight over it.

In case anyone else needs this TY monkey, his name is Digits and there were several on eBay not long ago.

This is Louis. When my autistic son went to boarding school, he was going through a rough time. Being away from home was not what he wanted.

My mother told him she would send him (from Venezuela) a roommate, a friend to go to school with, and I got this monkey from a Hallmark store here in NYC, and we pretended she sent it. She named him after my brother, who is the clown in the family.

The bad day and ended up pulling Louis' legs off. I doubt I can fix it. I would rather try to get him another one. Actually, I should get a couple of them, however I can't find him anywhere. He is around 18 inches long from head to toes and comes naked (no sweater) not just for my son, but for his now ex-roommate that feels very bad every time he sees him and just keeps apologizing.

We told him we'll send Louis to the shop to be fixed, so I need you to please keep and eye for me on any Hallmark store in your area and of course I will pay for Louis and shipping, BTW I don't have a serial # or anything because he was supposed to come from Venezuela, so I removed the tag before boxing it for him.
