Stuffed Animals for FurKids?
Sometimes, when we are searching through yard sales, thrift stores, and such for mint condition stuffed animals, we'll meet other people who are also searching. Thing is, they are looking for toys for their pets!
So, do you buy stuffed animals for your furry babies that were originally intended for human children to play with?

I have a furbaby, Socks. I have bought him several 'toys' including a few stuffed animals. He doesnt care for any of the ones that I have bought though. He would rather make feet on my Rainforest Cafe stuffed animals. I have a black panther one and a baby lion one and he thinks that they are wonderful. (I am also grateful that he doesnt use his claws while making feet, for obvious reasons)
My furbaby, Turner, hates anything cuddly of mine especially my doggy, lol!. He'll only play with a mouse that we bought for him :) He gets more pleasure out of 'making biscuits' (make feet, cute!) on my stomach!
Maybe Socks likes the ones that have your scent on them LOL.
And I love that "make feet" way of describing Sock's pleasure response.
Well, inkserotica, there goes my theory about liking stuffed animals with your scent on them.
Of course, if there's anything you can generalize about cat behavior, it's that you can't generalize anything about cat behavior LOL!!
I don't have any stuffed animals intended for humans that have gone to the cat......primarily cuz I'd have to hurt my cat! lol, not really, I think my cat is to scared of my stuffed animals because most of them are the same size if not bigger than the cat.
The cat only picks on things smaller than him.
Yeah I know *sigh* I've raised a bully.
Hugs to ya!

Your cat's not a bully, just smart! LOL
We had a kitten recently who was extremely energetic. We kept trying different toys, hoping to find something she would play with besides our skin.
We finally found a very floppy stuffed animal (human toy - one we had bought in a yard sale batch that wasn't in mint condition) just a little smaller than the kitty. She would wrestle with it constantly.
Sure saved our fingers and toes!
Thanks for stopping by my site.
My son is allowed to bring something from home to comfort him during his surgery. He has decided to bring "Sharky" - his stuffed shark. It's pretty darn big, and it makes him feel safe.
He said if anyone tries to hurt him, Sharky will bite their hand off.
Well, I'm sure Sharky will keep him safe! Better warn the doctors and nurses, or they may be missing a hand after tomorrow ;)
Now if you could just find a stuffed animal that would keep him quiet when he gets home and needs to be still LOL!!!
We have 2 cats, the older one isn't particularly interested in being cute and playing. However the younger one loves to beat up my daughter's soft toys, and likes to play with my socks. Weird creature!
Last christmas we 'dogsat' our friend's dog while they were away. He had a strange obsession for Nicole's barbie dolls. He kept nicking off with them!
Lara, sounds like your younger cat is like our kitty. As for that dog ... not so sure about him hmmmmmmmm.
