Are YOU searching for a lost toy?

Check Our Own Plush Animals & Soft Dolls CATALOG, or CONTACT US

Maybe we've already FOUND one just like one you need. See what people are SEARCHING for. If you have one of these toys, or know where they can get one, please help these families out!

I read each request, do the initial search, request additional information and photos, and edit most of the photos. Often I do find the lovie, so those requests never show up on this blog. I answer each comment or email that comes in about a posted request, act as a go-between to link people who can help with those who need help, and add new requests as soon as I can. Due to health problems I got way behind posting requests, so now I am trying to stay current with requests and gradually catch up on the older requests.

I can't adequately thank all of you who search for all these lovies I do post about. I get the ball rolling, but YOU are the ones who make this site work!!

How Do You Feel about Noisy Toys?

When our grandchildren were little, we bought a small Sesame Street Big Bird jallopy car that had a motion sensor vroom vroom sound. All you had to do was barely touch it, and then you'd have to listen to that loud sound for what seemed like forever!

It became quite a joke whenever we moved the sack that had all their toys in it, to hear that sound coming from deep inside the bag. That old car was one of their favorite toys, so, being the grandparents, we put up with the sound.

But can you imagine having that toy at home, listening to it day after day? HELLLLPPPP!!

How do you feel about loud noisy toys? Has there ever been a toy that you did not buy, simply because it would make too much noise?

I'm ok with noisy toys as long as they don't break the ear drums. Kids do seem to love them so if they're too loud, I often tape a piece of paper/cardboard over the speaker area to muffle the sounds.

In general, though, my son seems to gravitate toward toys that make no noise. He prefers to create his own sound effects. :)

Hah! It never occured to us to try to dampen the sound on the car! DUH

But I did take the buzzer out of the original Operation game, because it made one of our daughters cry every time is went off. She loved the game (I left the buzzer light), but the sound was making her a nervous wreck!!

Lei, it's gratifying to hear that your son uses his imagination when he plays. Good for him!!

well, in my house noisy toys remarkably have their batteries die very quickly. There are some that are not to bad, but most start to grate on my nerves after 30 minutes or so.

Dawn, as one who enjoys peace and quiet, sounds like a plan to me.

Regretfully, the offending Big Bird jallopy had one of those sealed batteries in it, and it lasted for years, as we didn't get to see our grandchildren too often.
