Diabetes Bear?
We recently sold this adorable teddy bear, created by RUSS for St. Jude's Hospital, which is intended as a cuddly friend for a child with diabetes.
There are colorful patchwork areas on her body that teach the child where they can give themselves insulin shots, and she even wears a med alert bracelet. We recently found a Boo Boo Bear, who has several bandages on his furry body.
I think my favorite, though, is this wonderful monkey full body puppet, dressed up in his scrubs and surgical mask. Can't you just imagine how comforting these plush friends would be to any little child, terrified by all the strange experiences of being in the hospital, or dealing with a serious illness?
